This very simple, basic amplifier was a perfect fit for my organization's needs. We have a client who received a donated, older Samsung LCD flat panel monitor and a pair of non-powered JBL speakers. The setup had been used for demonstration purposes, and was now to be used for staff training.
The problem was the Samsung monitor's on-board amplifier was designed only for providing signal to its own powered speakers. It was never intended to drive anything like the donated JBL speakers with any real authority, and the original matching Samsung speakers were not included with the donation. Consequently, the volume level was extremely low in the training facility, and complaints began to mount among the training staff and trainees.
I looked for a low cost solution for our client and initially found nothing short of high priced integrated amps, Home Theater recievers, or super cheap, and poorly designed PA amps. When I found the Audio Source Amp100, I almost couldn't believe that such a high quality, moderately powerful amplifier was available at such a low price! This unit seemed too good to be true, and appeared to be a tailor-made solution for our problem. After a several months of use, I can say that the unit is trouble free, simple to operate, sounds great with music and TV audio. Our client, our trainees, and I am completely satisfied with this excellent product.

I recently purchased one of these units for a small installation at a clients facilities. My client was looking for a cost efficient option for a two zone amplifier. The Amp 100 was a great solution saving my client several hundred dollars, needless to say they were very pleased. I would advise the Amp 100 to anyone looking for two zone solution for around $100. The only problem with this unit to be aware of is the front manual switch that activates both zones A and B simultaneously. This switch can be mechanically sticky. Be sure your clients are aware of this as it may seem to them that it will not allow both zones to function simultaneously.

Great piece of professional audio equipment for a great price.

Comments about AudioSource AMP100 Stereo Power Amplifier:
This small, simple amplifier by Audiosource is easy to connect, only 2 switches (volume and balance) so easy to use, will drive 2 sets of speakers, and has no remote. I purchased it because it is relatively inexpensive and I only wanted to amplify a cable TV audio signal for musical entertainment on our outside porch. While not a sophisticated amplifier, I gave it 5 stars because it satisfied all our requirements.

From the TV to the speakers, this gave me more control of my system, not another remote, or getting up to adjust volume.
Clean simple, good sound.

Comments about AudioSource AMP100 Stereo Power Amplifier:
I purchsed the AMP100 as a secondary amp for a Sonos music zone. It has performed admirably so far. I love the auto-on feature because it prevents me from having to manually power the unit up when I want to listen to music remotely. It runs nice and cool and sounds great too. I recommend this amp for anyone looking for multi-zone amplification.
The only reason that I did not give it five stars is its lack of an optical input.

Comments about AudioSource AMP100 Stereo Power Amplifier:
I purchased one of these amps to power a pair of outdoor loudspeakers over my patio and now purchased another one to power a second pair of outdoor loudspeakers for my hot tub area. The amps have both been very reliable. Sturdy contstruction and handy line in/out to be able to daisy chain the signal input to both amps. For the purpose I use them for, they have been great.

Comments about AudioSource AMP100 Stereo Power Amplifier:
This amp was a great buy. I've used it connected to my Imac. Not too big to fit on a decent sized computer desk, and doesn't run extremely hot either. Simple setup, simple controls. Does what it is supposed to do- provide power to my speakers without any issues. Sounds great too.

Comments about AudioSource AMP100 Stereo Power Amplifier:
This amp has a handsome appearance; it appears well-constructed with banana connectors and silky controls. It is certainly not difficult to set up and even offers selectable A/B speaker outputs. It is also compact and produces relatively little heat. I'm hearing new detail in music I know well and have not heard before. In other words, the sound quality seems very good. The worst part is simply finding a piece of equipment like this since all one normally sees is much larger, heavier receivers which don't hit the nail on the head when all you need is a simple, quality stereo amp. So if you're reading this, you may have the hard part behind you!

we use this unit as a zone amp for a multi-zone system in a B&B.it's clean/low-distortion, with a great deal more definition than the multi-channel unit we had been using.... very straightforward setup. and, as the unit is deployed in our master bedroom, very good for marital bliss. i no longer get requests to turn the [*] music down or off....

I am running this amp in a commercial environment, and connecting a PA to the first input, which makes it absolutely perfect for my needs.
I bought a second for another room that will also require the automatic switchover, which is why I bought this amp - but for price paid, it's excellent value regardless of whether or not you need/use that feature.

Comments about AudioSource AMP100 Stereo Power Amplifier:
This amp is used to power two pair of stereo speakers and it gets its signal from the tape out of an a/v receiver. The amp sports a volume control for each pair of speakers connected to it. I made sure the speakers are 8 ohm and that the speaker cable runs don't exceed 75' (16 gauge cable). Works great for quiet to moderate loud levels. One of the volume knobs pulls right off--otherwise I'd have given 5 stars given how cheap this thing is.

Comments about AudioSource AMP100 Stereo Power Amplifier:
I had a couple of big old 8 ohm JBL speakers I hated to part with and a new IPOD. I've been plugging the Ipod into a boom box in my shop out in the barn, but the sound just "wasn't there".
I set up the Amp 100 to replace that setup and it's everything I hoped it would be, and cheaper than most other options I've seen on the internet.

Comments about AudioSource AMP100 Stereo Power Amplifier:
If you want a well-built amplifier that can be hid away and doesn't need to be turned on and off, this is a great choice.
It's heavy and well-built for the price, and the auto-sensing means that it will turn itself on and off according to whether an audio signal is present or not, so you don't need to turn it on and off yourself.
The bridging feature is also interesting, seeing as single speakers with stereo inputs are not that plentiful and are often expensive for good ones.

Comments about AudioSource AMP100 Stereo Power Amplifier:
I wasn't expecting much build quality for the low price but I was quite surprised. The AMP100 is quite solidly built. It runs amazingly cool too while powering my surround speakers. The auto-on feature is exactly what I wanted since the amp is tucked away inside a cabinet running my surrounds. The only small downside is the balance control is very slightly angled when it is on the center mark but that's being very picky to find a negative.I would probably have paid double for this unit.[...]
