International Orders*The Furman PS-8R Series II 8-Outlet Power Conditioner & Sequencer is capable of safely powering up a rack full of equipment in a 3-step delayed sequence. The sequence is reversed for power-down, and can be initiated with either momentary or maintained switches, locally or remotely.
In addition, the PS-8R offers advanced and comprehensive transient voltage surge suppression. Furman's proprietary Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT) suppresses AC noise evenly, assuring maximum performance from your system. SMP+ circuitry offers the highest degree of protection against electrical surges and spikes, and does this without sacrificing itself or any of its components. In addition, the Extreme Voltage Shutdown circuit automatically turns off the unit when it is fed 140 volts or higher, protecting itself and connected equipment from the extreme voltage.
One or more Furman PS-8R II's may be installed in remote locations and operated via low-voltage wiring. The unit comes factory-set for "maintained operation". It may be easily converted to other operations by moving jumper plug/plugs on the PS-8R II's circuit board.

Comments about Furman PS-8R Series II 8-Outlet Power Conditioner & Sequencer:
I use a bunch of these in classroom A/V systems to provide both protection against AC faults and to prolong equipment life by powering up gear in sequence to avoid putting "pops" through amps and speakers. When a rat chewed through some wiring on campus this year, the Furman did its job and protected the equipment (dying in the process, unfortunately).

My old FURMAN blew up, and I had to have an exact replacement because I had two of them and they communicate with each other. Price was the best on the web

Comments about Furman PS-8R Series II 8-Outlet Power Conditioner & Sequencer:
Installed two PS-8R's into a church sound system. One at the sound board, the other with the amps on the undercroft. Connected the Remote and Ground together using low voltage wire and set both systems to be momentary. By increasing the conditioner connected to the amps to a longer delay time, I have no pops and the system boots cleanly within about 15 seconds.
Instructions are clear but they give no examples of how to connect two together without using all 4 remote lines and one of their switches. With multiple options of how to remote these systems, a few basic examples in the instructions would have saved me about 20 minutes.

Comments about Furman PS-8R Series II 8-Outlet Power Conditioner & Sequencer:
We power a stationery video recorder/camera and our sound system through this multi-outlet power source. We just plugged it in, plugged in our six units and we were done. Sequence outlets offer a nice perk for those who need it.
