Impact Collapsible Circular Reflector Disc - Silver/White - 42"
This Impact Collapsible Circular Reflector Disc is a versatile lighting tool for in the field and in the studio. It allows you to bring out the shadow detail in your subject, using available or studio lighting. In addition, the colored surface allows you to modify the color of your subject. Your choice of color -- silver or white -- will be determined by the lighting conditions, and your personal preference.
This 42" disc is suitable for a 3/4 length portrait, and a medium-size still-life setup. It folds down to 1/3 its open size, and comes with a storage sleeve. We suggest the purchase of a pivoting arm and stand, to hold the disc where needed -- especially if you are working without an assistant.
- White produces an even, neutral-colored bounce light that works beautifully as a fill light source for both product shots and indoor/outdoor portraits.
- Silver produces a contrasty light with an edge.

I was talked into get this by a fellow photographer and since then i have grown to love this tool. i mainly travel with a large amount of gear and lighting, but since i got this it makes the decision to leave all that and just take this a lot more compelling. It can also act as a 5th light for me which i really like. All in all this is a great product and i would suggest it to anyone who really wants to get light to hard to reach areas without bringing a lot of gear.

Not too bad if you know what you're getting. Just keep in mind the reflector is a short term solution. With time the reflective-pain surface will eventually fade-- quickly.
Also horrible is the flakes get *everywhere* including one in one of my kit lenses. It was a cheap lens thankfully, but I've thrown the reflector in the gargabe in order to save my 5Dii the same fate.

Does everything I expect. Creates great light. Very satisfied. A little large for a model to hold under their face. I'd suggest a smaller size if that's a reason for your purchase.

I picked up this little beaut a few days before heading upstate for a location shoot. This item felt sturdy and performed well. I had one of these from about ten years ago that finally started to lose some of the silver paint, so I replaced it with this one. Ten years. I'd like to see a camera last that long. Great little investment. Get it and a C stand and you won't even need a PA to hold it.

This is a good place-holder for the more expensive brands. Haven't used it more than a couple times yet, but it seems to have decent quality construction. Folds up well and appreciate that it comes with good zipper-closed bag. All in all, a good item.

This is great for portraits but I also take it along for freelance gigs where there is nowhere to bounce my flash, my wife can hold this above me or off to the side and it its like lowering the ceiling! Breaks down easily, very light and worth every penny.

This is a great product. Low cost, easily collapsible, portable, and just as useful as the "pro" models. Sure, for mega more bucks you could maybe get a better product, but I think you are already in the realm of diminishing marginal returns. In other words, this reflector disc will take you as far as your talent will take you. It wont be the reason you didn't get that "perfect" shot.
