Comments about Azden WHX-Pro VHF Handheld System:
I was in some hope to get a better product, this sounds distorted, grainy in a quiet setting and its mono which means you get recording in one ear. The mic has a decent weight to it and feels nice for the price but sounds horrible. I would not recommend this for my kids to play with! The build is plastic junk. Feels like it can break with the slightest touch. It really disappoints me cause I have a azden shotgun mic which is awesome! You have been warned!

Maybe not professional . . . but for weddings and some events, works great. Nice quality for the price. It´s a life saver . . . when you need to record any message or dedication and you´re in noisy enviroment.

Comments about Azden WHX-Pro VHF Handheld System:
I work in the marching band world and have to do interviews often, sometimes while bands are performing. The mic has done pretty good with the loud noise in the back ground. I am still learning to use it to see if I am optimizing it's potential but so far so good. Some clips I had to go back and adjust the vocals during editing but so far, it works pretty good.

Comments about Azden WHX-Pro VHF Handheld System:
We purchased this to record video at a conference. It worked very well. We were able to just hand a person the microphone and record a short clip before moving on to another person. They did not have to hold it close to their mouth. It did pick up both people when they were side to side and holding the mic between them.
It mounted to the top of the Canon T2i and we easily switched from the wireless mic to the built-in camera mic and back again.

Comments about Azden WHX-Pro VHF Handheld System:
Bought the WHX-PRO for lecture recording for podcast.
Hard to find anything else in this price range with real wireless-transmitter-handheld mic PLUS small size receiver that is battery powered and both 1/8" plug and jack - which is exactly what we needed.
Audio output a tad low but quality integrated perfectly with wired mics in a pro setup.
Ironically, we returned it for the sole reason that this handheld mic's switch popped on turnoff.
So we tried a lower cost Nady mic that was terrible.
Planning to go back and buy the Azden WHX-PRO again.
Comments about Azden WHX-Pro VHF Handheld System:
I like the mic i picked it up about 3 months ago and finally used it last weekend. it does not pick up much background sound and the static was low but it seems as if the mics out put is really high. The receive has a fixed mini cord on it that can not be removed which in my mind is not really a pro feature since my Sony HD Cams which are Pro video cameras do not have mini on them. You can not use an xlr to mini since the cable can not be removed. you can take and xlr to mini and put it in the head phone out and it works. I am not sure if it was the fact that i used the above way to get audio or not but the audio is ramped up on the mic, it as if the gain on the mic is to high and no mater what i did with my audio levels it did not change it would blow out the mic i ended up using a shotgun off screen with another camera and syncing the sound so it looked like he was using the mic. great for a prop but a bit on high priced for 1. if you have a camera that uses XLR audio in do not buy this.
Expertise: I have been working in the production and post production industry for 10 years mostly as Film editor
Problems Encountered: The mini cord is not removable!
