Comments about Manfrotto 500BALLSH 100mm Half-Ball with Short Locking Handle:

There's not much you can say to review such a simple product... either they work or they don't. The Manfrotto half-ball works just fine, just as it should. I bought the short-handle version of it, which seems more than plenty long enough. Frankly I'm not sure why anyone would prefer the long-handle version.

Bought this to use with a Cinevate Pegasus Carbon Dolly, it's less than 1/2 the price of the Cinevate version. The locking grip is too long to fit when the dolly is used alone as a table top dolly but, a through hole 3/8" 16 knob from the hardware store makes it fit perfectly, you may already have one on your folding lawnmower handle. Remove the concave cup from the top of the grip and use it with the 3/8 16 knob and you're all set.
