This is necessary to see all input levels and to give you a visual read. I'm glad I got it even though the DM would work fine without it. The downside is that it's a bit hard to see/read the channel numbers becuase the channel meters don't line up with the console channels so it takes some time to get used to looking at it. Nevertheless, it is a very useful tool and it really should come with all of the DM Mixers. But for the price, just add it in, you're still getting a descent deal.
