I thought this would be a good product when I opened it and felt the weight of it, but the day I installed it the selector knob came loose and let's face it, it's the only moving part on the whole box! It's locked to the shaft with a set screw that won't stay set! The turning of the knob is not like pushing a button, it's forceful action and the current model has an inferior/weak knob/shaft. what's the point of having this be the weakest part of this tank-like box? Until I do a work-around on this knob I am relegated to using pliers to switch the selector shaft! Why me? Lastly, I hope they find a better selector mechanism for retro-fitting the current model.

Comments about Hosa Technology SLW-333 - Passive Stereo Signal/Speaker Selector:

I have Rokit 6's, a decent pair of PC speakers and a mono mix cube. All these are powered so I can set the levels of all 3 evenly and switch between them to search for mix issues. Quiet simple signal path switching for the right price. I love it. Thanks.

        Works well when it works

Comments about Hosa Technology SLW-333 - Passive Stereo Signal/Speaker Selector:

Nice clean audio-switching to different outputs (in my case, headphones and studio monitor speakers) when it works.

However, the right output jack on one of the three output channels suddenly stopped working a few months after purchase. When I gently moved the cord, it felt like a connector inside the box had come loose.

Luckily the SLW-333 has three sets of output jacks and I only have two output devices, so I was able to move from the broken outputs to the third (working) set, and it's still doing OK for now. Still, I know it's just a matter of time until another set fails, and I need to buy a new signal selector. I bought this because it was relatively cheap, but nect time, I may try something more expensive (and hopefully durable).

Very very disappointing. I bought two these units and they both fell apart. First it was the knob falling off, then the 1/4" connectors from the inside. I was aghast, being that the housing is built like a tank. I thought it would hold up.

Purchased elsewhere about a year and a half ago. Used to select line level signals from one of three audio sources routed to power amp and speakers. Worked quietly and well until the rotary switch simply seized and could not be turned. Opened the unit and found a surprisingly cheap rotary switch... I've decided to replace it with a Coleman Audio LS3

I chose over Presonus work station because it seem like I can hear the true sound of my monitors better. Plus it's passive, no extra power supply needed and the unit takes up less space. Also, simple to setup.
The build quality seems a lil cheaply made for the price you pay. This is my second one. I recommend not using Monster cables cause they busted up the input cavity. I mean it went completely through the end of compartment. Also, it ripped some of the soldered connections too. That's when I was removing cable, seem like it just locked in. Had to use a nice amount of strenght to remove. The knob can be stripped easliy. But, at the end of the day, it does what it suppose to. So that's why I would recommend
