The Manfrotto 055LLA Low Angle Adapter is attached to the bottom of the center column when your tripod legs angle is set to 43°, 73° or 90°. It allows the tripod to be positioned at minimum distance from the ground. It is recommended for macro and close-up photography.

Comments about Manfrotto 055LLA Low Angle Adapter:
Not happy with how loose it sits in my 055xProB tripod. Maybe I'm using it incorrectly, but I have tried all the ways I see possible. When in position and everything is clamped down, it is just too wiggly. I can use it to get the shots I need, but not really happy with its stability issue.

Comments about Manfrotto 055LLA Low Angle Adapter:
This is a fairly good adpater. I personally use it with my 055 series tripod and my older 3221WN tripod to allow for mounting of a camera on the bottom of the center column for low shots, and also as a replacement for the ceenter column on the 3221WN when I want the extra stability. It works well and is pretty secure, however I wish it were made from alumnum like the center column (or carbon fiber on the 055 series tripod) for some added strength. The plastic is fairly strong, but I am not sure how long it will last when I know my tripods will last me for decades. Overall a minor complaint and not something to take too much off of my rating for. I would still recommend it.

Comments about Manfrotto 055LLA Low Angle Adapter:
fits perfectly on my Manfrotto 055 series tripods and allows me to place either my photo or video camera super low to the ground; install and removal are quick and easy; the build quality feels solid; if you don't need the height the center column provides, then using this instead of the center column can make your tripod a little bit lighter...
