Elinchrom Umbrella - Silver - 33"
Umbrellas soften, broaden, and diminish the light output of any tungsten or flash light source. Umbrellas with a white interior will soften and weaken light more than an umbrella with a silver lining. A white umbrella without a black backing may also be used as a makeshift softbox, although the use of the light will not be as efficient as with a lightbox.
Choosing umbrella size is determined by the size of the subject, and the strength of the light supply being used. Choosing an umbrella surface is as subjective as choosing a paint and brush.
- Best suited for small group shots when coverage is important.

The light it creates is, well, like any other small silver umbrella. The effect is similar to beauty dish. THat much is very nice. But the latch that holds the umbrella stay open is easy to break. Mine wouldn't stay open after a couple of light use. Also, the shaft is flimsy and can easily get warped.

It's silver, and an umbrella... what's not to love? I do wish it had a velcro tab or snap to close it tightly so that it would fit more easily into the provided sleeve - but other than that, it does the job!
