Fomapan Action 400 is a panchromatically sensitized, black-and-white negative film designed for taking photographs under unfavourable light conditions or using short exposure times.

Meets high requirements for low granularity, good resolving power and good contour sharpness.
Due to its wide exposure latitude the film gives good results even when overexposed by 1 EV (exposure value) (as ISO 200/24o) or underexposed by 2 EV (as ISO 1600/33o) without any change in processing, i.e. without lengthening the development time or increasing the temperature of the developer used.
To make prints or enlargements, Extrabrom- and Fomaspeed-type enlarging papers are recommended; however, all sorts of black-and-white enlargement papers can be used.
Type 35mm black and white negative film

Not really terrible, it tracked weirdly in the camera and ripped easily, but the exposures look good

Comments about Fomapan Action 400 135-24 Black and White Print Film:

Foma 400 I think of as giving an old fashioned high speed film look. That's a good thing!

I would rate the film as barely ISO 400, it really is happier a exposed a bit more, and does not do well when pushed. Or rather, one gets a high contrast and grainy look, which again, depending on what you are looking for, may be just the right thing.

Overall, this is an interesting film at an excellent price.

Comments about Fomapan Action 400 135-24 Black and White Print Film:

I used this film outside on a sunny day in a k1000 and a x370 both manual, When I printed the pictures I was suprised, I though that such a low prices b/w film would be grainy but no it is honestly some of the best film that has run through these cameras.

Comments about Fomapan Action 400 135-24 Black and White Print Film:

I took photos in a small room with only 2 desk lamps for a portrait, it came out well but nothing really stood out about the film. I did like that it had a little different color to the film, almost a tint of brown. There were times when the film would scratch easy, it I had to be very careful
