I bought these blank discs for transferring vhs to dvd. After reading other positive consumer reviews and not wanting to shell out a ridiculous amount of money for "professional" grade discs I decided to give them a try. I found them superior to other cheaper, more common brands. No duds (coasters) after transferring a couple dozen vhs tapes. Great replay quality. I would recommend this product at a great price from B&H.

My Sony DVD recorder quit recording with Sony DVD's. So I tried Verbatim DVD's and my recorder worked just fine. Verbatum plays back in my other players just fine.

I never had any problem using Verbatim DVD-R's. I can't recall having any compatibility problems or burning duds.They do what they're supposed to do which is to reliably hold video or data.

So far so good :) - I've been doin' burns like crazy and so far I haven't had any that have been duds or givin' problems after the burn process - I mean i've only used 10 out of the 50 so I can't fully make any claims just yet - however so far i've gotten the quality i'm lookin' for - the burning took some time though but i think dats more due to my system rather than the DVD itself...once it handles the rest like its handled the others i'd be more than happy to give it a 5 star rating :D
