Comments about Interfit Fluorescent Flood Light with Bulbs:

Used in Portraits and small product photography.
The Interfit flood light provides a soft, even light. This light is terrific for portraits, and even adds nice catchlights in the eyes. I like how it highlights and smooths the hair.
Used individually, you would have to bring the light awfully close to your subject for sufficient light output, but used in multiples (and they are reasonably priced for multi purchase)the output becomes powerful enough for group shots.
With continuous light (cool to touch) you always see where the light is falling.
Barndoors would add even more control, but the included diffuser gives a nice glamour effect, but reduces light intensity. The unit seems well made.

Comments about Interfit Fluorescent Flood Light with Bulbs:

I bought this as an experiment to use alongside my two TD-5s. I use it with AC strobes and fluorescents, but have not tried it with low watt (> 250watt) tungsten bulbs. with two AC strobes at ten feet I get f/11 @ ISO-100 1/125.

It works well with but you will need the diffuser because the angle of the sockets create a hot spot. It also throws light everywhere so I am hoping the grid that can be used with Interfit's beauty dish fits this light's reflector.

Despite these shortcomings I like this Interfit product and I would recommend it.

I use it for lighting portrait backgrounds. I do wish the on and off switch were closer to the light. It is way down on the cord and inconvenient.

Comments about Interfit Fluorescent Flood Light with Bulbs:

This unit provides nice light for a small, home studio. It isn't very strong, but it works really well for my use in a small area. The cover works nicely and provides soft diffused light...I use it mostly with the cover as a soft box. It doesn't get hot at all, and the color is nice. I'm not sure how well it attaches to my stand, but so far I haven't had any problems with it. For the price, I think it is good. [...]

Comments about Interfit Fluorescent Flood Light with Bulbs:

When you need to judge color, this lamp is exactly what you need. At 5000K, it represents the true color of your subject. Don't be fooled by the tungsten model lamps of your strobe - using this 5000K lamp shows the exact colors that are being reproduced. Highly recommended.

Comments about Interfit Fluorescent Flood Light with Bulbs:

I bought this head for a single lighting solution or to use with a reflector for low budget head-n-shoulders interviews. It's a great idea and very versatile, but transporting is clumsy. Still looking for a useful bag to use with it. Otherwise it would be a 5 star purchase.

I use photofloods to photograph my artwork. I have tried them all but generally end up frustrated and dissatisfied. These CFL units have changed all of that. I shoot bracketed high quality jpg and RAW. Where I used to shoot a dozen bracketed shots I now shoot 2 bracketed shots and use minimal PS manipulation and I have an excellent representation of my work. Can't ask for more than that.

It's better and cheaper than Westcott TD5 and delivers more light than TD5 with 4 fifty Watts bulbs and a small 20 Watts bulb.

Comments about Interfit Fluorescent Flood Light with Bulbs:

I'm a big fan of CF lights for photography and being able to have 3 bulbs in one unit is excellent. This flood light puts out nice strong soft light that's quite comparable to a small softbox... and the CF bulbs put out minimal heat so the my models don't melt.

It's especially useful if you're shooting in a small location where a standard softbox wouldn't work due to size. I bought two and will be purchasing a third.
