Usually soft box assembly requires some efforts. This one does double.

Comments about Interfit 24x24" Stellar Softbox:
Nice portable soft light that can be used with hotshoe flash bracket for a lightweight fill flash on location shoots. Construction is sturdy and seems durable. I've dragged it around at several shoots and won't do another engagement session without it. Paired it with my 530EXII flash and Paul Buff wireless on a cheap light stand. I gave it 4 stars because there is only one diffusion panel. It would have been a nearly costless addition to include an interior diffusion panel for better light spread. Still, the single panel does a good job of softening the flash.

Comments about Interfit 24x24" Stellar Softbox:
My wife and I used this softbox for the first and so far only time on an engagement session. I purchased it with the cold-shoe mounting bracket for my 580EX II. I added a piece of sticky velcro to the bracket for my wireless receiver, installed the bracket into the softbox, mounted it on a stand and there you have a lightweight, portable soft box for outdoor fill flash. The size of the box makes it good for this application, but the light can be a little harsh. I plan on fabricating a second interior panel to help diffuse the light a bit more. The front cover comes off easily and simply, and the box is as easy to put together as any other softbox I've used, and the assembly requires about the same amount of muscle as other softboxes I've used. Once you know how to put one together, they're all pretty easy to figure out, but still a pain to put together. Overall, I'm very happy with the build and usefulness of this box. Much more weildy and stable outdoors than flash/umbrella combination, and not as bulky as the monolight / battery pack combo I've been using.

Comments about Interfit 24x24" Stellar Softbox:
This is Interfit's lower end line of softboxes. While the quality is not bad, it does not compare to the quality of Interfit's Pro line of softboxes. Differences between this and the Pro line are as pretty big. For example the rods of this softbox are loose and are rather hard to assemble compared to the pro line. The reflective inside of this softbox is NOT intended for high-heat hotlights or hotlights with multiple bulbs [...]. Additionally the baffles are not as rugged or easy to attach. This softbox also does not accept accessories such as egg crates. Finally this softbox uses a separate speed ring that is not compatiable with the Pro line. All in all, having had these softboxes for a little while they are a pretty good value for use with a monolight or flash within a home studio or a pro studio that is not going to be taking them apart.Considering that the Pro range is not much more expensive, it is well worth the extra money to upgrade and get those. If you are a pro, taking these on location, need to break them down often or are using these with hot lights, go with the Pro range.

I have used this a handful of times. But it makes a great soft & directional light. Going to buy another soon.
Easy to assemble (go to Interfits website to d/l instructions before you do anything. This will tell you what the holes for the speedring are for).
Trust me d/l the instructions first.
The only reason i didn't give this a 5 rating is that I would change the rods. Intstead of metal, I would have used a flexible type of fiberglass to give it a bit more flexibility when assembling or dis-assembling.
But its a nice size softbox that works very well with my SXT3200 kit tungsten heads or the Strobie flash bracket & my speedlight.
Great price on a great softbox. I'm starting out so for me its a great buy. I really like Interfit's line of products. Well thought out designs & dependable.

Purchased these for the Tungsten light kit I bought as an add on and replacement for the umbrellas. the box really makes a huge difference in the lighting softness and diffusion when shooting up close or even from a far.
They are a bit trying to set up for a first timer and I do not see myself breaking these down for transportation. Really difficult to put int he support rods and stretch the skin over them
I do like the quality of them however, lightweight but strong and easy to change out the front diffuser.
