The Digi-Slave L-Ring Ultra II is more powerful and more versatile than the original Ultra LED ring light, and is ideal for macro photography. Equipped with 24 oversized, super-bright white LEDs, it features a variable-power dial to quickly and easily optimize the light output. A larger inner diameter makes the Ultra II perfect no matter the lens size of your digital camera. It can accommodate up to a 58mm filter size lens.

The Digi-Slave L-Ring Ultra II can be used as a continuous light source, and can also be triggered from a standard PC or hot-shoe sync. Comments about Digi-Slave L-Ring Ultra II LED Ring Light with Diffuser:

I have been using the Medical Nikkor lenses for more than 30 years for close up, intra-oral and medical photography. Flying around the world they have become incresingly more difficult to transport, due to their bulk and weight, especially on a separate Nikon camera with a full size sensor. The Ultra LED ring light appeared an ideal solution. Exposure is well controlled by the operator through the spot metering of the camera and the lens with a step down ring fits the small Micro Nikkor lens and the standard Nikon camera that accompanies me on all my trips. The build quality of the ring light is average, but it is lightweight and works on four AA batteries. The power output is incredible! I can shut the aperture right down and get excellent depth of focus. The constant light is great for focusing in difficult situations, as I do not want external light to interfere with the colour balance of the lighting. The opaque diffuser cover supplied does not retain well on the light, but have not found it necessary anyway. Have not tried the flash facility as the constant light is ideal. Colour balance output is excellent. The unit is pefect for close up work, and I would not use it for head & shoulders pictures. All in all, an excellent product for my line of work.
