Comments about Epson Automatic Document Feeder:
I have a lot of documents that I copy in batches and this document feeder makes that task pretty easy. I scan a stack (2-30 sheets) and turn them into a .pdf. Works well, uses a fraction of the scanner bed. Paper wraps around a roller and passes over the CCD. Scans do not seem quite as sharp as if they were on the full bed, but great for what I want at 150 dpi.

I do a lot of contract work that involves multiple pages with detail to clarity. Wish I had bought it sooner.

Comments about Epson Automatic Document Feeder:
I have used this product for a couple of weeks now. I really like being able to put a bunch of papers into the feeder and letting the scanner and computer do the work. It would take forever to scan things one at a time. It is a time saver. I am still trying out software to compliment the ADF.

While this is sold as an accessory to the V500 Photo Scanner, it cannot auto feed photos without jamming - if looking for an autofeeder to stack and scan photos - do not purchase this item.

Comments about Epson Automatic Document Feeder:
The installation of the feeder on the scanner is easy and totally problem free. With this product I'm able to scan letter format in one piece. This is very important to me and saves a ton of time. You simply place a document of a stack of documents face up on the feeder press scan in the program you're using and voila you're done. Most scanners on the market cannot scan letter format if they don't have the feeder. The process of scanning a letter format is to scan the document top and then bottom importing the documents into Microsoft Paint (or similar to cut and past them together (very time consuming and mixed results). The thing I didn't like about the product was that it came without an installation guide. So at first I was puzzled, but this was only because the installation was so simple. I was expecting more work and tricky installation problems, but that just didn't occur. You simply exchange the cover with the slider, plug it in and go. The feeder is instantaneously recognized by programs like Acrobat reader and Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and so on.

Comments about Epson Automatic Document Feeder:
I had the V500 Photo Scanner and used it basically for photos. I stated to scan old files and it was to slow to scan each piece of paper individually. I ordered the ADF and was surprised how fast and how easy it was to use. I completed a three hour job in a half hour. I would highly recommend this product.

Comments about Epson Automatic Document Feeder:
Works as intended. Great time saver if you do multi-page scanning. Just load the sheets and let it do the rest.
The only con is I now have the original scanner lid to store. Perhaps it will sell on an online auction site. The moral is if you need to scan batches, get the auto feed version of the scanner to begin with.
