Comments about Quantum Instruments FW9T FreeXwire Digital Transmitter:
I use the FW9T on a Canon 5D MII to control a T5d-R Quantum light.
The only bad thing I have to say is you have to be careful with the unit mounted to the camera. I broke my first one while mounted to the bottom of the camera. The sync cord connected to the camera caught my leg and bent the jack on the unit.

Comments about Quantum Instruments FW9T FreeXwire Digital Transmitter:
I would rate it 4 stars if it wasen't for one thing. In using the supplyed sync card I find that the connection to the Transmitter pops back a few times causing miss fire / miss shot. I am a Wedding photographer and in the last wedding I had to push in the sync connection about 6 or 7 times I shot 1030 times and only had the few miss-fires.
Over all it is a goog product and I love the complete line of Quantum products.

This unit works great with the FW7Q and Qflash 5d-R in QTTL mode. Canon 580s get use to begin in the bag.

Comments about Quantum Instruments FW9T FreeXwire Digital Transmitter:
I use my transmitter for wedding and fashion shoots. At weddings I have it connected to my shoe mount flash, I set the shoe mount to manual. I use the transmitter to fire my Quantum Flash Trio from the shoe mount.
It came with Velcro which was convenient. I have it velcroed to my hot shoe flash. It does what it's supposed to. I haven't seen it misfire yet which is very important. And that's about it. It's made of plastic which keeps it light. It feels very sturdy. That's about all I can say. I recommend it.
