            Comments about Schneider True-Polarizing Filter (4 x 5.65"):

I have always used circular polarizers, due to my previous applications, but after reading the reviews, I realized this was the polarizer I needed for my current shooting situation. Works perfectly, and provides great saturation and contrast. Highly recommend.

                  Comments about Schneider True-Polarizing Filter (4 x 5.65"):

I used this filter briefly with a Sony EX1 as a test and honestly don't see the dramatic improvements the manufacturer listed in its feature overview, like; "12-times more effective than other polarizing filters". I mean, '12-times' more effective seems like it should be a significant amount. To what "other" filters are they comparing it? I did not notice a significant improvement in any of these features compared to another filter I've used.

On a more positive note; it does reduce glare and reflections a noticeable amount and has the added benefit of acting like an ND filter. In very bright conditions, even with the EX1's 1/64th ND filter in place, it is possible to open the aperture another stop or two by adding this filter. The attached photos are screenshots of the video shot with and without the filter. (In Beijing at the time of capture.)

Your mileage may vary... Hope that helps.
