Comments about On-Stage MS7625B Hex-Base Quarter-Turn Threadless Microphone Stand (Black):

I was looking forward to trying one out, thinking I would replace several of my On-Stage tripod mic stands. The idea was great; less tangling of wires around the tripod legs, plus a smaller footprint. However, the Quarter-Turn system is where the wobble comes into play. The base is solid, and has a nice low profile, but when you insert the stand into the base, there is some play. A mic at about 60" high has around 2 inches of back & forth movement. I would definately stick with the threaded version of the stand and base (MS 7600), unless this was just a bad copy.
