The Rycote Mini Windjammer Special 80 attenuates high wind and atmospheric noises that compromise the performance of your microphone. With a thick, furry design, this microphone wind protector provides the maximum protection against unwanted noise. The special size of this Mini Windjammer is compatible with microphones with a maximum diameter of 50mm (2") and a length of 80mm (3-1/8").

- The special size fits microphones with a diameter of up to 50mm (2") and a length of 80mm (3-1/8"). All dimensions are quoted on the foam windshield.
- Design
- The thick fur cover eliminates low- and high-frequency wind and background noises.
- Usage
- Designed to fit semi-professional externally mounted microphones, the Mini Windjammer is easy to fit over your microphone. Just pull the cover over the existing foam and secure the touch-fastener fastening.

I do a lot of field interviews and wanted to maximize the sound quality from my recordings with groups of people and individuals, almost always outside.
The mini windjammer Special 80 fits perfectly over the foam windscreen of my Audio Technica AT8022, and combined with a RODE suspension designed for the RODE NTG-2 I also use, it is a perfect combo on a lightweight stand or tripod, or handheld.
