The Paterson Film Squeegee has been the prefect addition to my darkroom accessories list. This is a must have for those serious about processing a lot of film. I used to use the General squeegee, it works good if you like scratched film. The Paterson works perfect for the 70 MM film, I process thousands of feet of film on a weekly basis and this squeegee holds does the job.

I was having problems with water spots so I thought I'd give this a try. I think it works well but i'm not sure if it's worth it. I have had some concerns with water spots and scratches since starting to use it but I'm not sure if it is the cause. It may just be best to get good at using your fingers

        Comments about Paterson Film Squeegee:

I have been using another squeegee by AP and thought about changing to a new one. And I bought this squeegee. And I found out HUGE scratches across my entire roll of film. Then, I checked the rubber part and it was not smooth even with some teeth on it.

Seems to be well made but it was too short for my intended use with 4x5 film. I will keep it for use on 120 film.

Many people just use their fingers, which I think is probably just as effective, but this works well and is probably a bit more uniform in removing wash water.

This incredible item will remove all the water from your film using only two pieces of rubber and some plastic, letting it dry properly without any watermarks.

Pretty basic film squeegee, works fine to remove excess water from my film to prevent waterspots and speed up drying. Wide enough for 135 or 120 film. Never had an issue with scratches, the rubber blades haven't caused any harm, and works better than running my fingers down the film.
