I recently found some old family slides I wanted to see. I don't use slides as a medium so didn't want to invest in anything expensive or space intensive. This product gets the job done. It was inexpensive and simple to operate. Just stick the slide in and press down. The little screen lights up & you can see the slide. Not good for people at a distance because the viewing window is small or if you have a lot of slides since it's a one-at-a-time viewer. But perfect for my purposes and the 200-300 slides I have.

It's been over 30 years since I last took a 35 mm. picture. With no working projector to view my slides, this is perfect for me -- small, easy to use, bright picture. I do wish the picture size was a little larger.

My dad had one of these for many years. Now that I have the task of sorting through his hundreds of thousands of slides, this tool is indispensable for deciding which slides to keep and which to discard.

Only regret is that it requires batteries. It does not include the plug in and cord.

I could not get this to work. After installing the batteries it would not work, took the batteries out and the bulb housing fell out and would not go back in. Very poor quality, I am returning it.

I am using this to review my old slides, and deciding whether to scan the slides into a digital file.
I quickly gives a clear bright image of the slide.
Very happy with its performance, so far.

This is identical to the one I had purchased 12 years ago. I can interchange the back part, etc. New one is brighter (due to the newer white screen), but that's it, plus it seems the slides don't pop out like they should. Should have just stayed with the old one. I think there are better models out there.

Viewer works as expected. Slides are easy to put in and out of the slot. So far no problems. It works well for intended use. Too bad it dosen't hold larger slides also.

Comments about Pana-Vue 6560 Slide Viewer #1:
I've been going through thousand of old slides I bought. It's been slow going with a light board or putting them in a carousel and projecting them. The Pana-Vue slide viewer has made the project much easier. I was a little leery of buying it after reading some of the reviews about its build quality, but I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it's plastic, but it's a strong hard plastic that feels solid and works fine. I don't feel any need to baby it. It's design is a little top-heavy, so I think it could use a wider base for extra stability.

This slide viewer basically has a one-time use for me, reviewing a bunch of slides one last time, selecting the ones I want to digitize and tossing the rest. That means I'm manually inserting and removing each slide individually, but couldn't see spending any more for something I'll never use again. Screen size and magnification are fine for my purposes.

I was given some old family slides. Having not had a slide viewer for many, mnay years-I was put in a position to need to purchase one. Here in Florida I got advice from a camera store that the only source they knew of was B & H in New York! Correct- [...] now have the viewer at a low price that magnifies 4 times and shows the details of the old slides clearly. Many thanks to everyone at B & H !!

We bought this for my father-in-law's birthday, as he wanted to go through all his 35mm slides and select the ones to have put on DVD. It was a great gift and you got it to us fast, but I hope it doesn't break while he's using it. These used to be made of metal... and I wish they still were! Putting in the batteries might be difficult for arthritic hands of an older person. It does have the best magnification of any I looked at, and it also has two standing positions. I thought it was over-priced; should sell for less than $15.00!

This product was exactly what I was looking for. I can clearly see my slides and determine whether I wanted to keep them and if so select those to digitize for the computer. Quick and easy and works like a charm. Inexpensive and does the job.

Only useful for the most rudimentary slide viewing. Cheap construction, dim light, slide depression to activate light often jammed. Poor quality image. I returned this after trying to view only a few slides.

I've owned one of these before and it was fine. This one, though, was a piece of trash. I used it for a couple of days, then accidentally knocked it over. It fell into a bazillion pieces, literally just came completely apart. Every piece of it. Although my husband spent an hour piecing it back together, it won't work. What a waste of [$]!
