Comments about Paterson 12" Color Thermometer:

I previously bought the Dot Line 2" DLC Stainless Dial Thermometer to check the developer temp for b&W film development in a small tank. The Dot Line was OK, but was hard to read because the line on the dial that tells you the temp the needle is pointing to is right under the needle. So I was looking from one side and the other, trying to read under the needle. Also, every line is 2 degrees. One day I misread the temp, and though that was clearly operator error, I felt the Dot Line was not helping out, and I decided to try this one, and I am glad I did. It is instantly responsive and very easy to read in half-degree increments. If you grew up like me with mercury thermometers for body temp readings, reading this thermometer is instinctive.

Very Easy to read! Comes with a nice plastic enclosure that is nice to store it in, and adds a little extra protection!

Comments about Paterson 12" Color Thermometer:

It's a pretty basic piece of equipment, but it works well, is a good length and it's rapid in response. I've been using it for B&W film developing and it does the job well.
