Really can't give an honest review. None of my microphones fit it as it is too small in diameter to hold my mics. But I am sure that I will find some use for it. It appears to be well made and the bungee cords fit my other shock mounts, so it was a good purchase after all. Thanks B&H

Comments about On-Stage MY-410 Studio Microphone Shock Mount (Black):

I bought this to replace a stock shockmount that broke 5 days before I had planned to start a recording project. I needed something inexpensive that I could get in my hands in a hurry. For the price I didn't expect too much, but the build quality was higher than I expected - hence the 4th star. I will probably buy another one of these down the road because it is so generic, easy to use, and durable enough to be the perfect spare lying around in case of emergency. This will also be my budget shockmount of choice for any condenser I purchase with no mount included.

Comments about On-Stage MY-410 Studio Microphone Shock Mount (Black):

This item is the perfect replacement for the stock shock mount that came with my Rode NT2 microphone. The elastics for the original mount dry rotted. The On-Stage mount is identical, but the elastics are better. Hopefully they will outlast the others...

It's great for a basic, standard mount. Decreased a good bit of extra noise, & holds the mic securely. Can't beat it for the money.

The Shock Mount fit my mic perfectly because of its elastic clamps that holds it inside securely. The mount looks real good and very professional in my studio. I've gotten compliments on the look. Very nice product and the price was definitely right.

The only drawback is that my AT 4050 microphones fit a little tight into the MY-410. A 48mm to 54mm would of done a much better job.

Comments about On-Stage MY-410 Studio Microphone Shock Mount (Black):

This mount does a decent job of removing subsonics (footsteps), but the mid-bass frequencies at the resonance of the mic stand are still being transfered. I believe a slackening of the tight elastic bands over time will reduce this, or perhaps neoprene bands would have better damping qualities. The outer ring is twisted at a slight angle (3 degrees?) where it attaches to the swivel, but I doubt this will cause anyone grief. The clamp is very tight on a 47mm microphone, so I have every confidence the mic will be safe and secure. The felt lining protects the finish on the mic body. There's nothing plastic on this thing, so I expect it will last a rugged long time. They provide you with one extra elastic band (why not two?), which will come in handy sizing up maybe a neoprene drive belt to try as an alternative suspension to improve the isolation. Overall, I am happy with this purchase. It deals with the main reason I bought it fairly well.
