all plastic construction, but the stand is huge and lets tons of light in.
comes apart into 5 pieces, with the two lenses separate from each other. good for cleaning, but a sealed design would keep it from ever needing to be cleaned. i keep a couple on my desk at all times, and the price means i dont worry too much if one gets misplaced or scratched
