Comments about Peak Stand Loupe 4x with Neck String:

This loupe is very cheap plastic. The neck string disconnects from the loupe a lot. I've also hat the bottom skirt fall off a few times now over two weeks. Overall, though, it's perfect for focusing on ground glass to make sure I've achieved good focus.

If you are looking to save some money, I'd really recommend this loupe. Does the job.

Comments about Peak Stand Loupe 4x with Neck String:

At first I thought this loupe would be too small and also not as sharp as the Hoodman loupe. But after adjusting and readjusting the diopter, I got it right. The smaller size is most useful for manual focus only lenses, it's easier to move around the LCD screen while in Live View

Comments about Peak Stand Loupe 4x with Neck String:

This stand loupe is light weight and sharp. Not the cheapest, but far from the most expensive. I use it to review medium format negatives on a light table and the wide area of coverage makes it great for medium format. It has no chromatic or spherical aberration I can detect in my use. I can't speak to its capabilities on a large format focusing screen.

Comments about Peak Stand Loupe 4x with Neck String:

I am using this to ensure focus with my large format camera. It works well, and feels like it will stand up to use in the field. Its a bit pricy, seems like they should be able to sell for about 50% asking price... 4 stars because of price...

Comments about Peak Stand Loupe 4x with Neck String:

sharp, light-weight, cheap, wide area of coverage.
the strap and bottom part are is easy to detach, might happen accidentally.
more usefull for light table usage than for field work.
magnification is also a bit low for view camera work, IMO.

Comments about Peak Stand Loupe 4x with Neck String:

I use this with the black plastic skirt to focus on the ground glass. It's a great loupe with a nice crisp image. The only negative is that I wish the plastic were a bit nicer and sturdier feeling, like on my older Peak loupe. But all in all, I'm very happy with this.

Comments about Peak Stand Loupe 4x with Neck String:

I use this to magnify the image on my 4x5 camera for critical focus. It works extremely well for that.

The only reason I didn't give this a 5/5 is because the eyepiece is easy to smudge if you aren't careful.

            Overall, I recommend it unhesitatingly.

I used this for focusing on the ground glass of Linhof Master Technika. Very clear and easy to focus. Perfect for corners. I had no problem using it even with my bi-focal glasses on.

Comments about Peak Stand Loupe 4x with Neck String:

Previous to using this Loupe, I briefly tried a Schneider loupe. This does not feel quite as solid, but because it is plastic it is lighter and less likely to scratch the ground glass on my large format camera. The square bottom allows me to get right into the edge of the glass, which was a selling point for me. At this price you cannot beat it.
