Comments about Peak 8-16x Pro Zoom Loupe:
I bought this product for [$] from B&H to use as the optics for a medical device I am building because its superior to anything currently on the market for my very specific application. Its also pretty much the only available zoom loop. From what I can tell, in the visible spectrum 400-700nm, the device is achromatic, and the aspherics provide a pretty flat field. Theres some pretty significant and abrupt vignetting around the extreme periphery of the field though. I also bought the light holder from peak optics, which I will be returning. Dont buy the holder, its completely misrepresented on Peak's website as a classy looking metallic and black laquer finished device when it actuality they send you a piece of garbage which is essentially a PVC pipe that holds two D batteries.
