Comments about JBL L830 3-Way 6" Bookshelf Speakers (Pair, Cherry):
Have owned for 1 year now; as happy as when I first bought them. A pleasure to listen to. Good clarity throughout full music spectrum. Plenty of bass; don't need a sub. Rear ported; place 6 to 8 inches from backwall. A solid little cube; they weigh 22 lbs each. Made in Mexico. I 'm using just for music; would work great in a 5.1 surround system. JBL has been building speakers for 60 years; these are the real deal. Will bring a smile to your ears !!!

Comments about JBL L830 3-Way 6" Bookshelf Speakers (Pair, Cherry):
I bought these to replace a pair of Bose reflecting speakers that were just too large for the space I needed them for in my new house. They are great sounding speakers given their small size. Although they are bookshelf speakers, they are fairly heavy at about 20 pounds each. They look far more expensive than they cost and seem extremely well made. Sound is rich and full with each speaker having a rear port. I am very happy with them so far.

Comments about JBL L830 3-Way 6" Bookshelf Speakers (Pair, Cherry):
As you could expect from JBL, these speakers are wonderful. Crisp and clear with great bass response, I'll never regret having gotten these speakers, and at a price point that is more than fair. I expect to be enjoying these for the rest of time. Thanks JBL for doing it again!

Thanks for the opportunity given me to express my comment about this product.I just hooked the speaker on to the Receiver and noticed that one on them has a defective woofer. Only the horns works but the 6" woofer does not work.I refused to conceed that it is a defect from the Manufacturer.[...]

Comments about JBL L830 3-Way 6" Bookshelf Speakers (Pair, Cherry):
Bought these "sound unheard" based upon numerous reviews from different sources. As reviewed they are accurate but a little sharp in the highs. Overall though they are the best I have heard for the money. They replaced a 20+ year old pair of Baby Advent II's as front speakers and genral listening w/ Klipsh SW. Overall, I think I still liked the Advents a little better (more efficient) but maybe after six months of break in that will change

Comments about JBL L830 3-Way 6" Bookshelf Speakers (Pair, Cherry):
I still can't believe what I'm hearing! Thse are smaller than the JBL D38's that I was using, but are so much better. Very crisp and clear with enough bass that I don't use my sub woofer at all. I am running them with a Denon AVR-1709. I might just replace my center speaker, an AR C225PS, with a JBL LC-1. That could be awesome, except I'm not sure my tv could take the weight on top. These are keepers for sure.

Comments about JBL L830 3-Way 6" Bookshelf Speakers (Pair, Cherry):
JBL has been missing from the HT scene for a long time. I own an old pair of L1's that date back to the early 90's. Since that time JBL came out with the "S" series, but subsequently seemed to pass on the HT market. Their Northridge series weren't very impressive at all. Now comes the Studio L series. As a direct decendent of the L1's, the Studio L830s are very similar although a bit brighter. To complete the system, I chose a pair of L810s and the LC1 center. [...] The first thing that hits you is the quality of these speakers. I got them in Cherry and they are beautiful. At this price point, I couldn't recomend a better combination.
