Comments about Hosa Technology DBK-110 9-Pin D-Sub Female to 8-Pin Din Male Host Cable (10 ft):

I used this cable for a non-conventional purpose. My Kenwood TM-V71a Amatuer/HAM radio uses the same standard pinout offered by this cable. The Kenwood branded cables costs several times as much with similar functionality.

If you have a Kenwood TM-V71a this cable is a no brainer!

My only complaint is the plating on the connectors appears to be tin, which will not hold up as well as gold/silver platings. But I predict the low use of this cable will not be a problem.

Comments about Hosa Technology DBK-110 9-Pin D-Sub Female to 8-Pin Din Male Host Cable (10 ft):

Bought this cable to connect my old Alesis QSR to my laptop for writing my own sound cards. The 9pin connector fit easily into the QSR, however, the serial connector required to be firmly pressed against the male port on the laptop, and then screwed down. Unfortunately, as per writing this review I have not been able to get my laptop to recognise the QSR using this cable (need to do some more digging into the QSR global functions).

Connects my old Alesis sound module to my laptop, so I can edit and create my own sound cards. Hosa is not a high-end cable, however, I am glad I found it. Reasonably priced.
