Comments about Hosa Technology GMS-274 - In-Line XLR Barrel Microphone On/Off Switch:

Use as inline mute. Easy to use, puts switch in an accessible location as the clip holds the switch on your belt or music stand. Only drawback is they can get to be noisy after a year or two.

I use the XLR mic on/off switch to allow local control over recording and to prevent feedback while setting up sound system.

Comments about Hosa Technology GMS-274 - In-Line XLR Barrel Microphone On/Off Switch:

Purchased to use inline with my desk-mount studio microphone. Works as expected, but produces a noticeable "click" in the recording when seitched on or off, even when isolated between short cables. This is not a major problem, as I can use click removal in audio post-processing. Time will tell how well it holds up, but it appears very well made.
