I use it to trim photo paper. Does a great job. Accurate. Scale in metric and imperial measures. Feels (heavy) and looks well built. So far am very pleased with the purchase.

I needed a professional trimmer for trimming prints up tp 22" wide and this was the best choice for the quality I wanted.

Comments about Rotatrim Professional Monorail Rotary Cutter (26"):
I have used a cheap 9" x 12" Carl cutter for years, it worked ok for cutting edges, but was never quite square, and very difficult to line up. If I cut out a batch of pictures, they would always end up slightly different sizes and not square.
I needed to upgrade to a cutter that would handle cutting prints from 13" x 19" paper, so I started looking for reviews. Most recommendations seemed to say Rototrim or Dahle, but the Dahle recommendations mentioned that one of the measurement scales was metric instead of English, so I stayed with the Rototrim.
The next issue I came acrosse in the reviews was a comparison between the Rototrim professional line vs. the Rototrim Mastercut line, mentioning that the Mastercut line was heavier duty.
I debated for quite a while but for the difference in price and my expected usage I stayed with the professional line. I'm really not sure what is more durable or heavy duty about the Mastercut line, as this is a very heavy solidly built cutter, mostly metal with a particle board base the only plastic is the arms holding the cutter bar and cover for the cutting mechanism. I can't imigane what amount of usage it would take to wear it out or cause damage.
My first usage was to cut 25 different prints from 13" x 19" paper all with one side at 11" every print was exactly the same dimension and every was square. I actually determined that my printer was slightly out of alignment, but the resulting cuts were all square. I can also make hairline cuts to fine tune any cut (this was required to clean up my cuts since the prints were slightly out of square with the paper.
This is a huge upgrade from a standard consumer grade cutter, and I'm nut sure what would be better on the mastercut line, but I believe that this cutter is the last cutter I will ever need.

I bought this cutter to trim photos from my Epson 4800, very accurate and precise trimming...... built well, maybe not as hardy as it big brother the Master Cut series, but good enough to cut any of the materials needed to trim and mount photos. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would buy it again in a hart beat!! Great price point.
