The Kensington FlyLight is an excellent product. I like its versatility. You can control the amount of light with two setting plus off. Also, the length of the arm makes it easy to get the light where you need it. It's not too long but flexible enough allow you to center the light on the screen so shadows are minimized. It is stiff enough to hold most any position.
Another use is to adjust it away from the computer to shine on papers, books or other items you might need for your computing session or just to have a light available.

I have not used a whole lot but the goose neck seems a little flimsy and the light tends to move (settle) a little over time.
The main beam of light seems very concentrated on an area of about 5 keys. I had hoped it would flood the whole keyboard.
Dimming feature just has 3 settings. Off, 1/2, full brightness. Not all I hoped for but functional for the price.

Comments about Kensington Flylight 2.0 USB Notebook Light:
Very handy when the power is out or working in dim light. The on-off switch makes it superior to many other products which require unplugging from the USB port to douse the light. Unlike spotlight-style USB lamps, it illuminates the whole keyboard.

Comments about Kensington Flylight 2.0 USB Notebook Light:
I searched for the perfect light to use with my laptop and found it. It has two brightness levels, but I use the lower one. It is long enough to be easily positioned, yet stays in place. The area of illumination is about 8 inches wide. And, the price was right. Highly recommended!

Bought this light for my husbands laptop. He uses it mostly to do his crossword puzzles.
Lights up the keyboard just enough.
Like the two settings(4 lights or 8 lights)
Would be nice is if it lit more of the keyboard.
Bottom line: Very good product. Does the job.

I use this light on my laptop, at night, in my patrol car (I'm a LEO). It works well to illuminate the keyboard. It can be bent to any reasonable position, and stays in place. It turns off when the monitor is closed down and saves battery power. Overall, a good product for the need to illuminate a computer keyboard.

Comments about Kensington Flylight 2.0 USB Notebook Light:
This product really lights up your keyboard (and those around you!). I currently only use it at the lower setting, and it's very bright. It is pretty concentrated, in that you'll notice a small circle of incredible brightness that fades the larger the circle gets, but the light is certainly plentiful. It's not a huge drain on batteries, though it is a little noticeable, but not enough to really affect my work. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it.

Kensington Flylight is good for travel or as a backup if there is no other light source avaliable, but it doesn't provide very much light. Maybe two 2-Watt LEDs would be better instead of these eight small ones.
