        Comments about Westcott Tilter Bracket:

Like most Westcott products, it's sturdy and seems well-built. Unfortunately, one very important aspect is NOT well-built... the handle that enables the user to make the tilt adjustment is prone to stripping because it is made of plastic, unlike the rest of the unit. In three years of relatively light use, I've had two fail -- both in this same spot.

        It's just a bracket but…

        Comments about Westcott Tilter Bracket:

I know, I know. It's just a bracket. I chose this one because Westcott is the maker of my icelight. I love how everything fits and locks and stays in place. You can not go wrong with this or any other product from Westcott.

        Big Improvement over older bracket

              Comments about Westcott Tilter Bracket:

We had an older Westcott with the old friction bracket and the weight of the head made it near impossible to tighten enough to prevent the head from drooping over time. The new bracket holds the weight of the head much easier and never droops.

                  Comments about Westcott Tilter Bracket:

I needed something for my 70inch heavy octagonal softbox. My monolight cant hold the weight. This bracket can support a lot and solved my problem. I mounted it directly to my ring (after I had the stud custom welded to my ring).

We have to replace our brackets, because they break very easily and get jammed into position. It's not really an option. They don't work well, but you need them in order to aim your lights. We love the lights, and hate the stands and brackets.

I would give this product a solid 4 star because they failed to include an insertion pin. I had seen from the internet that others who bought this same product also received an insertion pin but when my came, nothing was included. I had to make my own by purchasing a 5/8" lag bolt and cutting off the hex head.
