Shot bags come in a variety of shapes and weights. They are used for securing the bases of light stands and set walls. This Impact 15 lb saddle style buckshot filled bag has two wings, to allow draping over light stand legs. Each side of the bag has a hand strap for easy handling and hanging on hooks.

Excellent quality, and a price to match. This was certainly not a good deal, but if you want the best quality, this is it. I think I would have got a heavier one for my needs, but this one will be good for location photography.

I got these bags to secure the legs of C-stands and other similar uses. They're well-made and durable. And I find that the 15-pounders do the trick. One of those things that, once you have 'em, you're glad you spent the $$ on them.

Comments about Impact Shot Bag - 15 lb:
In the studio I'll use anything to weigh down my lightstands. But when I shoot away from the studio I need to be more profesional. I have this thing against sandbags because I think they will make a mess, right or wrong that's just the way I am.
So the Shot Bag was a great alternative for me. They are well made and appear to be able to last a long time. Just what I needed!
