Rollei Pan 25 is a panchromatic sensitised black & white film with low speed ISO 25/15. Besides the excellent fine-grain, this film has very good resolving power and high edge sharpness. Rollei Pan 25 is characterised by a high sensitivity reserve of one f-stop, depending upon development.

The thin-section document-emulsion is poured onto a highly transparent base and offers an extraordinary sharpness, with finest grain. Rollei Pan 25 achieves highest image quality with using very large scales of magnification.

Note! Maco is the actual owner and manufacturer of this film. They purchased the Rollei and Agfa names and formulas. This item may be sold under different names but it is the same film

Fine grain, good tonality, good MF lenses will make this film shine, and you get a re-useable plastic canister as well.

Comments about Rollei/AGFA Pan 25 120mm Black and White Negative (Print) Film:

Being a younger photographer, I've only recently begun to "rediscover" the beauty of film. This film is what it is all about. I shot this in my 1954 Rolleiflex MX-EVS (type I). The negatives were sharp enough to cut yourself on. And, the depth of the image was something I've never captured with high quality ISO 100 - 400 films I've typically shot in the past. I definitely recommend shooting this on a tripod, as I was finding myself shooting around 1/30-1/60 in direct sunlight. I didn't try any filters, but I can't imagine that the exposures wouldn't be on the longer side. 1/2 - 1 second or so.

Comments about Rollei/AGFA Pan 25 120mm Black and White Negative (Print) Film:

This is a mighty fine film. Sometimes with slow films there is a problem with using red filters. Slow films are not always completely responsive to the red part of the spectrum. This is where the name "orthopanchromatic" comes; meaning: it isn't completely an orthochromatic film, but it isn't quite a panchromatic film either, it lies somewhere in between.

Rollei Pan 25 IS a panchromatic film and is has a normal responsiveness to red filtration and that is what makes this particular film valuable.

I have used this film before, and in the past it was curly. :( But it has been a while since I have used it--But since then, I have noticed a new item in the description: "with "non-curling" backside coating to improve flatness." so perhaps they have addressed that issue--or at least made it better.

Finally a note on developers: not all developers produce the same results with this film; some produce invisible grain and others actually make it grainy so be careful with developer choice. If your standard developer produces undesirable grain structure it does not mean all developers will do that.

This film is great! It is very simple and easy to use once you learn how to load a medium format camera. It is my first time using 120mm film and a medium format camera, and am looking forward to the results.

I Have shot exclusively Black and White film for many years now and This is simply the best quality film I have ever used. The tonal range of this film will totally change your view of Black and white photography. This film is great if you shoot mostly from a tripod because of its speed but It still performs great handheld in sunlight.

Comments about Rollei/AGFA Pan 25 120mm Black and White Negative (Print) Film:

although fairly new (or recently revisiting from long ago) I was blown away with the contrast and texture in this film (Rollei Pan 25).

I haven't shot black and white film forever, so I gathered a bunch or different brands and went to town.. from portraits, to landscapes, to water action shots I was the most amazed by this films results!

although I'm sure it could be tested beyond my means of old beat up cameras, it seems to just produce magical results. one right after another. this will definitely be on my next order list from B&H!

                      yeeeow!

bought a few rolls to test through a few cameras - holga, brownie...
so far so good, great contrast and texture (although I am fairly new to b&w as well as analog in general)

it's been much more rewarding with better returns then some of the other film I have been shooting with
