The MINIFBQ FBQ800 from Behringer is an ultra-compact, nine-band graphic equalizer that also contains a feedback detection system that instantly reveals critical frequencies and that can also be used as an audio analyzer. An additional low cut filter removes unwanted frequencies such as floor rumble.
An accurate six-digit LED input/output meters and level control are provided for precise level indication. Long-term reliability is guaranteed with high-quality illuminated faders, potentiometer and illuminated switches.
Ultra low-noise audio operational amplifiers offer outstanding sound performance. In addition, all Mini Series models can be stacked on top of each other to create an ultra-compact signal processing solution.

Comments about Behringer MINIFBQ FBQ800 Graphic Equalizer:
I bought this unit to complement the Behringer AMP800 that I ordered (also from B&H) not long ago. All of the Mini Series components are designed to stack on top of each other, so these two look great together. Rather than trying to adjust the audio properties of each program on my computer individually, I figured it would be easier and better to find a good hardware solution that let's me fine-tune all the audio from my computer. Since I already had the AMP800 (and love it), this FBQ800 was the logical choice. It has both RCA and 1/4" inputs/outputs, so it's easy to connect to different devices. The input level knob has indents, so it's easy to set the same input volume each time. The unit has a low cut button that attenuates frequencies below 75hz. Behringer says this is good to remove floor rumble and such, but I find it useful to cut down the bass so that the neighbors don't complain at night. :) The sliders all feel smooth, and there's no static or jumpiness in the sound when they're adjusted. Each slider has an individual red LED indicator that doubles as the FBQ visualizer. The feedback detection system (FBQ) is a really neat feature. Behringer says that it's to indicate which frequencies are overly amplified (getting feedback), but that's probably only useful in certain settings (like a live performance). What it does, effectively, is turn the red LEDs in each of the sliders into a sort of spectrum analyzer that pulsates with the music. It's a great looking addition to the unit. The equalizer range can be switched from 6dB to 12dB which makes it easy to make precise small adjustments or shape the sound with a large curve. The LED level meters can show either the input or output level, and there's also a switch to bypass the unit altogether if needed. The overall sound quality is really good, and the controls are easily adjustable. The unit is small and lightweight which makes it easy to transport, too. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Comments about Behringer MINIFBQ FBQ800 Graphic Equalizer:
We broadcast some church services over the internet. We were having problems with the sound being overmodulated, especially with people that have voices.
The FBQ800 cleaned up all the sounds without any extra work, and for those very deep voices, a few tweeks and they sounded great.

I needed something small and reliable for a monitor system requiring some shaping. This does the trick. Low noise and does not degrade the sound audibly.
Good stuff!

Comments about Behringer MINIFBQ FBQ800 Graphic Equalizer:
I put the Behringer MINIFBQ to a somewhat different use. My son gave me a pair of powered monitor speakers for Christmas and I happened to have a Nakamichi CD changer. I hooked the two up and it sounded great, but I wanted more control over the volume and frequency response. A Google search found the Beheringer MINIFBQ FBQ800 equalizer for *under* [$] and I figured what's to lose -- you spend more for a cheap date nowadays. I purchased the FBQ800[...] After a trip to the [*]to get the needed cables I put the FBQ800 between the Nakamichi and the speakers and was shocked at how good this system sounds. The FBQ800 gives a plus-or-minus 6 or 12 db boost or cut from 62.5 Hz to 16k Hz in 9 steps, doubling the prior frequency at each step. This gave me far more control over the frequency response than I needed, but what the heck. I subsequently learned from my son, who is lead singer in a good but amateur rock-and-roll band that Beheringer has a very good reputation among musicians. The unit seems very well made and documented. I can't think of anything I don't like about it.Also, I would like to put in a good word for B&H. The walk-in store is one of the better places in NYC to shop for cameras and photographic accessories. The web store was equally as good with fair prices, [...]

-pc flac headphone listening tweaking
-audio adjusting for ripping laser discs and vhs with a analog to dv converter
-tweeking cassette tape line out before pc capture
-making studio monitors more general music listening speakers
