The Impact 24 x 32" Softbox is designed for use with all standard monolights, with the use of a matching speed ring. It includes a Bowens type speed ring, so that it is directly compatible with current Bowens and Impact monolights (except the 100EX).
When compared to larger softboxes, this size will provide a light quality which is more spectral, with a faster gradation from highlight to shadow areas. 24 x 32" is best suited for a 1/2 length portrait of 1 - 2 people, or a product shot of 2 - 3 smaller-than-a-breadbox items.
The softbox features a beaded silver interior, and its front face can be removed for easy access to the light and the interior baffle from the front. Also, it provides the option of shooting without the front face for an increased output, more specular quality of light.

I've used this product for portraits and product shots. I find that it provides better, more even light than an umbrella. It was kind of difficult to set up for me, because I had never used a softbox before, and it came with no instructions. It took a couple trys to get assembly right... and it was difficult. I dont want to take it apart to bring it anywhere. I do mostly location shooting, so this sits at home while my umbrellas come with me for soft portable light.
The picture doesn't show it, but it actually comes with a removable baffle for the inside, which was a nice bonus. Also, the exterior surface is easily removable (but it stays on well)

Nice finish, but is difficult to set up, because it don't came with any usefull instructions. You will need them from the internet.
My advice will be to use the letter "C" on the addapting white plate.
Also, becareful with the velcro, because they material is not so heavy duty as it seems, and will tear apart easy.
When inserting the metal tensors, use the letter "C" and start with the velcro open (and will be the last to insert), making a line, and later complite the cross. You will understand.

Comments about Impact Softbox - 24 x 32" (61 x 80cm):
Great soft box. Hard to get good lighting with only 60w light. Wasn't easy to set up had to call. But once up it was great. Just needs more power/ watt

Comments about Impact Softbox - 24 x 32" (61 x 80cm):
I've not used it much yet, but seems to work well. The velcro rod pocket and velcro 'fly' at the light opening make it relatively easy to assemble. It came with a sturdy, rotating Bowens compatible bayonet speedring. Has both an outer diffuser panel and an internal baffle.

Comments about Impact Softbox - 24 x 32" (61 x 80cm):
Lightweight. Not too cumbersome to set up. The rotating ring around the mounting ring doesn't tighten down as much as I like for easier attachment to the strobe.

Comments about Impact Softbox - 24 x 32" (61 x 80cm):
I use this softbox on a monolight. It wasn't as difficult to put together as I thought from reading the reviews. It gives nice, even, soft light.

Comments about Impact Softbox - 24 x 32" (61 x 80cm):
The softbox itself works well and gives nice, diffuse light. The only thing keeping this from a 4 star review is that it is difficult to assemble and comes with no assembly instructions. Had to find an online video to put it together. The construction is ok but a tad flimsy. Be careful when putting it together because it can tear and the seams can rip. Once put together it works well.

I have two sets of lights and 4 of these softboxes.Once I put them together, they stay together. Although you can break them down and they fit in the bag to take with you.

Comments about Impact Softbox - 24 x 32" (61 x 80cm):
These softboxes are the perfect size for headshots and portraits. Not too small, the 24"x32" gives you enough fill for any type of portrait. May want to invest in something larger if doing larger group shots. Could be a bit easier to set up the box itself.

Nice softbox but no way to add an eggcrate grid. Easy enough to set up as far as softboxes go.

Comments about Impact Softbox - 24 x 32" (61 x 80cm):
To be honest, I don't mind this softbox. It's pretty well built, but the shear irritation for set up and break down is enough to warrant 3 out of 5 stars.
There are NO INSTRUCTIONS provided & I almost broke it trying to assemble the unit. To save you time and effort: use the B-points on the ring and find the Velcro corner last.
I think the inside diffuser is a little dark, but that's a personal preference & I wouldn't mark points off for that.

I got this softbox as part of a monolight kit and I LOVE it. I've only just begun exploring studio light and really like the way you can control light with the softbox. Dimensions are great for a small studio setup and seems to be very good quality. The speed ring took a little figuring out (I just googled "speed ring impact" and found enough instruction to get it set up), but once you have it together, it's well worth it.
