I have two of these for recording voice and piano. Noise floor is the lowest I have found in this price range.

The mic sounds great for its price. It came with the case and shock mount. This is good value, if you need a solid mic.

Comments about MXL 2006 Cardioid Microphone:

From an ad and picture, I thought I was buying a pre-owned MXL990 not long ago, but the seller actually had a 2006. I decided to keep it and put the 2006 in the middle of a big band rhythm section favoring the guitar and was pleased enough that I decided to get another one. Included shockmount and low cost make it seem like stealing. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because nothing's perfect.
