The MXL V69 is a large diaphragm Tube Condenser Microphone designed for project and professional studio recording. This cost effective tube microphone utilizes a 12AT7 type tube providing warmth and presence without noise. The V69M includes an external power supply and the entire microphone is wired with Mogami cable. The V69M is an excellent, cost effective option for vocal and general instrument capturing where warmth and clarity is key.

I rated this mic a four star only because I have only used it to record the vocals on one song. The microphones signal came through very strong. I had to turn down the input volume from my interface. The mic sounds warm, and it captured my voice just as good as the thousand dollar microphones that I have recorded with. I wasn't expecting the 24 Karat gold plated grill or a power supply, case , cord, shock mount, and microphone protector. It arrived by UPS, with no issues. I'm writing this review because everything about my experience with this product has been outstanding. The people who made this possible should be the model for customer service. Good job guys.

A very nice mic for many source recordings. I used this mic through my digital
mixer to give a little warmth to source signals. A good thing to note is that placement is the key to all mic types. Trial is the name of the game and if I can get away without using EQ then it is a good day.
