I use this product on my condensers for recording radio shows. It's a lot easier to use these than a "pop filter". It doesn't get in the way and fits the mic it was meant to (MXL 990 etc). The only reason I rated it a 4/5 is it makes the mic look a little bulky/puffy. Maybe MXL could make a thinner version? Anyway, it works!

The foam windscreen works as it should and makes a great filter for pops and "SSSSSsssssss!" I don't hear and change or color added to vocals. I use a pop filter for judging minimum distance to the mic and use the WS002 also. Works great!!
As will all foam filters, you have to be gentle!

I shopped around and for the money you can't go wrong with this foam windscreen. It fits the MXL 900s perfect and works great. The price was great as well and I would recommend this to anyone who was looking for a good Windscreen for the MXL.

This is one of the few places that I can purchase this windscreen. I have three of these to go with two MXL 990s and one MXL 990 Stereo Microphone. I use these in a live situations for shows and they are great mics for vocals and acoustic instruments with no direct boxes very natural sound that the artist love. Good Clarity better sight lines than a pop filter. Using this Windscreen allows the artists to work the microphones, great for 4 part vocal harmonies. Works well on Guitar Amps too. Good high SPL Level with no distortion.
B&H is your full service supplier with all of the items to put together a full kit what ever your discipline may be, Sound, Video, Live, Studio, etc. etc.

I still don't know why prices for a 2" windscreen are so much higher than others. I work in radio studios and prefer the foam screens like this to the big pop screens on an adjustable arm. Pops are low and fit is great on my home studio's MXL 990.
