The OPTECH USA Tripod Strap-Swivel Hook Version (Black) is a soft neoprene strap for tripods with an eyelet on the center post. The strap has a recommended load up to 25 lbs. Nice easy to use. While my photo backpack has a tripod attachment, I think this works as an excellent alternative as I don't have to "unhook" everytime I put the pack down. with this strap I just unbuckle the strap around the legs and set up with the snap hook end attached to the loop near the tripod head. Nice to see that this is made in the USA too. While I think the strap is designed to carry the tripod parallel to the ground (sticking out in front and in back of you), I prefer to carry it upright so it is close to me to avoid banging into anything or anyone. It can be adjusted to carry in this fashion as well.

I bought this strap at the suggestion of the saleperson, telling him my plan was to use it for transporting my tripod mainly out in the woods to shoot waterfalls and nature photos. Although this strap did help me keep my tripod on my person and helped me remain "hands-free" to climb up and down rocks and cross streams, in retrospect I think I would have saved up for a nicer camera backpack for my gear that also had the external rigging on the back to carry my tripod. For around town and in the city, I still think I would have made the same choice. Not a super-expensive accesory, but I probably would have gone another way just for functionality.

Another great product from Op/TECH.
I have a Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod that has a steel ring at the shoulder of the tripod.
The hook is attached here and the loop is attached at the other end.
Plenty of padding and plenty of strap for adjustment.
I keep the tripod in my bag until I get to the location, from there I can now sling the tripod over my shoulder. The tripod is less cumbersome out of the bag.
Even works well with my Manfrotto 322RC2 head attached.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Tripod Strap - Swivel Hook Version:
This strap is a huge help with carrying my tripod when I'm mobile. It easily adjusted to various tripods that have a clip fixture. I've used it on a carbon fiber as well as an aluminum tripod with much ease and comfort.
I would highly recommend.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Tripod Strap - Swivel Hook Version:
I bought a Manfrotto 055 series carbon fiber/magnesium tripod as the best choice for long and not so long hikes. The carry handle that it came with, standard equipment, is just a handle. You really need to be able to carry the tripod slung on a shoulder - it's light enough to carry all day, but only if it comes with the right strap. Having had other Op/tech products I bought this strap with complete confidence, and after a few outings I find my confidence was not misplaced.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Tripod Strap - Swivel Hook Version:
It is definitely the most inexpensive tripod carrying option, so in that sense it was more than worth it. On the other hand, it wasn't great was can be kind of a pain to adjust to a position where it feels comfortable. That said, it served it's purpose and I don't regret the purchase.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Tripod Strap - Swivel Hook Version:
The strap works perfectly with my Manfrotto 055CFXPRO3. The tripod has a hook attachment point at the base of where the ball head mounts and the strap has plenty of length to adjust the needs of the user. It's much more comfortable to carry the tripod with the strap as opposed to using my Manfrotto tripod padded bad which isn't very comfortable for long hauls and is very bulky.

I have been looking for a decent tripod carrying strap for ages, and this one is finally the one that works. It has a rubberized backing so it will not slip from your shoulder easily like the other ones.

designed as a lower-priced alternative to Manfrotto's tripod strap, and why not? clips on the top ring and wraps around the legs. slip it diagonally across your back, and you too can look like a WW1 soldier!

Comments about OP/TECH USA Tripod Strap - Swivel Hook Version:
I bought this to replace the original strap for my Induro AX213. It has more length to work with, and this strap is significantly more comfortable and faster to use than the OEM strap that came with the tripod. Be aware, though, that the swivel hook is meant to go on tripods that have a swivel strap lug at the bottom of their center post, and this Induro tripod has its lug near the top on the legs, so it ends up carrying the tripod upside down--if this bothers you, you might want to consider the one that doesn't use a strap lug, but instead loops around the tripod in two different place.

Love the strap. It makes carrying the tripod so much easier. I wish they made a dual swivel hook tripod strap as my tripod could utilize one.

I have bought 3 of these (in differing colors). Also tried the SKOOBA SUPERBUNGEE one. There is no comparison. This one wins hands down for shock absorption and comfort. I am a working pro and carry heavy bags w/ full frame cameras and big lenses (ie 70-200 f/2.8) and I wouldn't dream of doing so w/o one of these straps on my bags.
