Yukon Advanced Optics 6-100x100 Spotting Scope

B&H # YU100X100AET Mfr # YK21031K
Product Highlights
  • 6-100x Magnification
  • Multi-Position Viewing
  • Tabletop Tripod Included

The Yukon 6-100x100 Spotting Scope offers versatility and power in a compact and easy-to-carry package. Featuring dual objective lenses, this spotter provides the user with the ability to sight-in on a subject at 6-25x, and then flip the system to high-power for more detailed viewing at 25-100x. The ocular can be adjusted for angled or straight viewing to suit nearly any situation, while the folded light-path design provides a compact form-factor that's easy to handle, carry, and store.

This fine optic features dual multicoated objective lenses and a uniquely-styled housing made from a durable composite material. An integral sunshade provides adequate protection from flare/glare from off-axis reflected light. A standard 1/4-20" threaded mount allows you to stabilize the scope for vibration-free viewing on most tripods.

In addition to normal viewing of distant objects, the 6-100x spotter can also be part of a powerful digiscoping system. By attaching the optional camera adapter to the scope's ocular, the scope transforms into a powerful telephoto lens for p/s digital cameras.

      so far, so good

      By tex

Comments about Yukon Advanced Optics 6-100x100 Spotting Scope:

Only had the scope for about a week, but so far am extremely pleased. I took it out to the range last weekend, and had no problem seeing .30 cal bullet holes in targets at 100 yards on shoot-n-c targets. Haven't tried further ranges but I think 200 yards would be fine too. The tripod is definitely shaky, and I couldn't touch the scope while looking at 100 yards or it would bounce all over the place. Happy with the scope overall though.

Comments about Yukon Advanced Optics 6-100x100 Spotting Scope:

I have owned this for a couple of weeks now, but have not had it out in the field. In reading previous reviews I am not sure where one thought this was awkward to use. Yes, to go from 6x25 to 25x100 you need to turn a knob, but once the target is sighted it is relatively easy to zoom in (scope on a sturdy tripod). Never had experience with expensive scopes, but can see the clouds and moons of Jupiter, so the optics seem good enough for the price. The tripod that comes with it is pretty useless. Yes a sturdy tripod is needed, but hey this is 100x we are talking about. Have not used in it bright sun yet.

Comments about Yukon Advanced Optics 6-100x100 Spotting Scope:

Great scope for the price, plenty on the market and alot more expensve with less magnification . Researched on the net prior to purchasing and found the features to be as advertised. Great scope for long range bird or wildlife watching as well as closer viewing. Would recommed this to the novice and experience user requiring a quality scope at execeptional value.

Very lightweight and easy to use. Does exactly what I want it to do and more. Going to Africa in October. Been there many times but long distances in some of the parks were a always a problem, even with high power lenses.

Comments about Yukon Advanced Optics 6-100x100 Spotting Scope:

This was used to spot buildings from 3-6 miles apart for microwave links.
Nice and clear at the low power setting, but blurry at the high setting making it difficult to confirm sightings. Also had a problem with the large, screw on lens cap, tough to put on properly and remove.

Distance veiwing of cityscape , beach and ships at sea

Front lense cap is a bit of a pain to screw on and off

i thought the shift between 25x to 100 would be gradual not one shift
