Use for birding, sporting events and general use.
Totally compact and ultra light weight.
Very wide field of view - easy to spot what you are focusing on.
Fold up and fit in pocket or carry on your belt in provided case.
Virtually no strain on neck after hours of wear.
Waterproof, Nitrogen Filled and O-Ring sealed too.
More than bright enough in daylight situations.

I am totally happy with this purchase and the people at B&H could not be more helpful.

If you are in NYC go to B&H - see Yosef at the binocular counter - he will take all the time you need and provide you with some of the best customer service you could ever imagine!

Bought this nicely sized binoculars for a extensive bike trip in Australia. While weight and size is excellent, the build quality is everything but impressing.

The focusing ring (made of low quality plastic) for the eyepiece was broken when the binoculars arrived, and the tubes seems to be slightly disaligned, making it impossible to get a useable view.

Other remarks: Difficult to focus, covers for eyepieces not fitting, lacking front lens covers, nice pouch, rather oversized carrying strap.

The binoculars will be left in a drawer at home, it is not worth returning it to BH.

Comments about Nikon 8x25 Trailblazer ATB Binocular:

I purchased the Nikon Trailblazer for use at sporting events and hiking. I was absolutely surprised at the quality of these binoculars, especially considering the affordable price point. They are very compact and lightweight, with a wide viewing angle, perfectly clear focus and have first rate optical quality.I have a different pair of compact binoculars, a much more expensive brand, but these have surpassed the other pair in handling, optical quality, and ease of use.No cons to report. Fantastic purchase!

Comments about Nikon 8x25 Trailblazer ATB Binocular:

I used these binocs on a recent birding trip and they worked exactly as expected. Having both a camera and binocs available at the same time was a bonus so these light weight but powerful binocs were essential to have on our trip. Their overall design made them easy to handle. For the price, this was a great buy.

Comments about Nikon 8x25 Trailblazer ATB Binocular:

When I opened the box, I was pleasantly surprised by how compact these binoculars are. The images are clear and very sharp at the centers; although the image loses a bit of bite around the edges, that's a very forgivable problem from a set of binoculars of this size and price.

There are only two noticeable cons. First, there are no lens caps for the front elements, which means that you're essentially forced to use the provided case (which, admittedly, is well made and functional). Second, the eyecups twist up and down easily (including when popping on the rear lens caps), so there's some amount of fiddling that's necessary every time they're taken out for use. These aren't major problems, but they might be relevant for buyers with particular requirements.

If those problems don't sound onerous, you should absolutely consider these for travel, hiking, or nearly anything. They're perfect for times when you might find binoculars useful, but don't wish to lug around a full-size model. As with cameras, the best binoculars are the ones you have with you, and you'll certainly want to have these with you at all times.

Comments about Nikon 8x25 Trailblazer ATB Binocular:

I bought these over another cheaper pair due to reviews saying they had great lighting and I was not disappointed. These are very bright, and comfortable on the face. The only reason I've knocked off a star is due to the awkward application of the neck strap, the flimsiness of the lens caps (and how easily they come off) and the fact that they're pretty difficult to hold stable.

Comments about Nikon 8x25 Trailblazer ATB Binocular:

At under a C-note, the Nikon 8x25 Trailblazer ATB binoculars offers an unusually wide field of view, excellent build quality, very good optics, weather proofing (i.e "waterproof"), turn-to-adjust eyecup eye relief, effective diopter correction, easy fingertip focussing and compact size. It is the least expensive pair of binos I own and keeps up with all of them. In nitpicking mode, I've only noticed the following very slight imperfections: 1. Although the FOV is significantly wider that other 8x25 binos, the outer 10% of the image circle is not as sharp as the other 90%, 2. Lens caps are supplied only for the eyecups. That's about it.

These are lightweight and very rugged feeling. They focus easily enough and let in enough light to be used at dusk well enough to be used.
The lens caps could fit a little more snugly.

Both Nikons are great value. The girl who received these finds them very easy to use on field trips-to Jamaica bay, Alley pond etc. and just for playing around with.I would recommend to anyone for travelling or for children.

Comments about Nikon 8x25 Trailblazer ATB Binocular:

I have lately noticed that my aged binoculars were looking hazy, and with a trip to Alaska coming up, decided to get some new ones. I wanted waterproof and lightweight but with an excellent clarity and these Nikons come through. They are easy to focus and they fold even smaller. I can see birds so well. I bought another pair of 8x42 which cost 5 times as much and they are going back as I do not need them. I can carry the Nikons in my lumbar pack and they are great.

Comments about Nikon 8x25 Trailblazer ATB Binocular:

I got this 8x25 to replace an 8x20 Sportstar II.
It is better in all respects. It is at least 50% brighter, sharper, and offers a wider field of view. The eye relief is good. Even with glasses, I can use these binoculars with about 50 degree apparent fov, so I don't have to remove my glasses to use them.
Weight and size are very similar to the Sportstar. It is definitely going to games and hikes with me.

Comments about Nikon 8x25 Trailblazer ATB Binocular:

I bought this for musical theater and NBA games.
                              This is really good.
It is not so heavy and small.
I can use it with comfort.
More expensive models are not needed for the purpose of viewing in indoor activities. (in my opinion)
