The Raider i-cuff HD is a viewfinder sun shield/hood for professional camcorder viewfinders up to 10.5" in circumference. This makes it perfect for ENG and larger cameras such as Sony's CineAlta and XDCAM line, as well as Panasonic's Varicam.
The unit attaches securely to the viewfinder via touch fastener for a personalized fit. The portion which touches the operator's face is covered with Ultrasuede HP chamois fabric. Crafted to the highest standards of durability and comfort, the i-cuff will withstand up to 100,000 rubs while remaining as new as the day it's bought. It is also waterproof, breathable and hand made in the USA.

I can't believe I've been shooting with the stock rubber eyecup all these years.... i-cuff HD is so comfortable against my face and doesn't smear sweat everywhere. It works both with and without my glasses and wraps nicely cutting the light like no other other option. It's breathability has minimized the fogging and if you rotate it 45 degrees counter clock it acts as a shade when I shoot low and overhead. Forget the tennis wristband. These guys make a phenomenal product! Thanks i-cuff ;-)

Bought for JVC gy-hm700uxt. I was looking for a hood that would cut out light caused by wearing glasses. The rim is not very flexible and only provided minimal improvement from original JVC hood. Also I contacted i-cuff to make sure I purchase the correct model for my camera and believe this hood is the incorrect size (should be the Pro model)though I doubt that this would remedy the issue. I plan on returning the product.

Comments about Raider i-cuff HD Viewfinder Hood:
I bought an I-Cuff and have to say it was probably the smartest purchase I've made in my fimmaking career. I was a little dubious at first, wondering how it could possibly help improve visibility of a screen and be as comfortable as I was told but all skepticism has evaporated now that I use it on a daily basis.
I look forward to getting back behind it after using someone else's camera and find it not only blocks more light, it fits my head better, holds my camera steadier and even helps a little doing some dynamic moves I found today so I just really wanted to thank you for making quite such an ace product at such a stupid price: double it!
Actually don't. If I ever need to buy another I'd enjoy the good pricing.
But seriously: good work!
Thanks

Wow... Can't believe I've been using the standard rubber eyecup for all these years! i-cuff is great. Really comfortable. They must be using some sort of suede or something... My viewfinder isn't fogging anywhere as much... And I can even wear my sunglasses or regular glasses now. This is the real deal. Thanks B&H for carrying this "no brainer!"

I have installed this viewfinder hood on a JVC GY-DV500. It fits well and is a huge improvement on the JVC eyecup. Benefits are almost no light intrusion into the viewfinder and a comfortable cushion for my eyes. I have'nt had it long enough though to remark on it's durability. But it appears well constructed and I expect it to take a fair amount of abuse if required.

when you start to use it is difficult to work without it. the only thing is at the time of sharing the camera, because we need to adapt the diopter ring. but we need to classify the i-cuff in the same category that we have a tooth brush: a personnal item.

Nothing like it! Cuts the light, comfortable way padded shammy. Doesn't smear glasses. I can't say enough about it. Shoot hi and low by rotating 45 degrees counter clock and serves as a shade when away from the eye. Gonna buy 2; one for each of my cameras! Thanks i-cuff for a GREAT product ;-)

Comments about Raider i-cuff HD Viewfinder Hood:
This product has been a comfortable addition to my news gathering process. I bought it because I've lost at least two of the rubber eye-cups off my P2 camera and I was interested in some way of gaining comfort AND security. The i-Cuff fits snug and has a strap that velcros the i-Cuff tight around the viewfinder. I run around in a hurry and don't always notice when I am shoulder carrying the camera that I may be close to knocking the rubber eye-cup off the camera. It's allowed me to focus on getting to the next story and not on whether all my gear is still with me!
ANOTHER NOTE: I don't wear glasses anymore but I would have loved this little guy back then. It's perfect for those shooters who do wear frames!

The new round design of the iCuff is great!! I had 2 Square ones and they were good but this new round one is fantastic. The chamois that touches your face is softer, and the cut of the iCuff fits my face better. Well worth the price!! I would by them for all my friends if I was not so cheep.

Comments about Raider i-cuff HD Viewfinder Hood:
There are several distinct advantages to the I-cuff for the hardcore working cameraman. With HD in 24p it can be very difficult to gauge exposure and focus; the I-cuff gives you a comfortable extended black hood which really helps you judge the image. Since I'm a field cameraman, I spend lots of time sweating in the heat and fighting stinging eyes and messy eyepieces. The I-cuff absorbs my worst abuse and keeps me shooting clean. Nice product!
