I love this thing. I have four SDHC cards, I put them in the left side when they're clear, then on the right side when they're full, and when I offload the media I turn them upside-down. Easy to keep everything organizado in one place. I had to put a firefox sticker on the top left, inside, so as to keep the orientation straight in my head. Has a nice little slot so your finger can get in behind the card to pry it out. I wonder if this will lead to wear and tear on the contacts, which are necessarily clawed at when I'm prying the right-way-up cards out...Really good to have a nice heavy, solid thing to hold onto, makes me feel like the cards are really valuable objects and not wafer-thin trivialities that could float away on the wind. They really do stay in this thing real good, no worries they'll flip out accidentally.[...]. This looks like the kind of tech you'd see in a James Cameron movie.

First and foremost, though I wouldn't recommend this case, it does do the job it was built for. It's just sad that it's so poorly made.
Now, yes, the aluminum casing feels pretty durable, but like other reviews have said, it's attached on each side with one strip of double-sided tape. I've only had this for a week, but I've found the casing's already coming off with ease. The rubber slots that hold the SD cards are really snug, but I can see how they can be TOO snug. Other reviews have said that the slots can break off the lock tab on the SD cards, and while it hasn't happened to me, I can see it happening easily. For that, though, I think if you switch the lock on, it should be fine.
All in all, yes, it'll definitely keep my SD cards safe. But trust me, ust pony up another $10 and buy the Pelican case.

Comments about Vidpro SD-1 Secure Data Case:
This is the only SD card case I've used so I cannot compare it other brands, but I have to say I love having it. I get to keep all my cards together in a case about the same size as a smart-phone/deck of playing cards/slim wallet, etc.
Sometimes it's a little difficult for me to pry the card loose with my sausage fingers but as long as I have a keychain handy I can wrangle the data easily.
Warning: all your cards will be together now, so if you forget this one case before a full day of shooting, you will officially be screwed!

Comments about Vidpro SD-1 Secure Data Case:
The case appears to be rugged and well-made but upon further investigation I found the weakest part of the case is the hinge and latch which are crucial to its function. The hinge is just a flexible plastic strip that over time will break and leave you with a useless case. I would prefer a metal hinge like on the Ruggard brand case model #MCH-SD8B. Also the latch is just a protruding plastic tab that could easily break off leaving the case unable to stay closed. If they made the hinge and the latch stronger it would be a great case. I recommend the Ruggard brand case model #MCH-SD8B for professional use and this case for budget crunched casual users.

Comments about Vidpro SD-1 Secure Data Case:
Before purchasing this I was using a small zip-lock bag to hold all of my SD cards. But, I decided to purchase this for a more professional solution. I've owned this for a couple of weeks now and haven't had any problems. It does exactly what it's suppose to do. When you close the case it locks and holds the cards in place. If you're looking for a simple card case, I would recommend this.

Comments about Vidpro SD-1 Secure Data Case:
I have used this case with my video production classes. The cards and case get a lot of use. The tabs that hold the cards in place are definitely too snug. Not only am I losing record lock tabs but the cards themselves are getting split in two from being too difficult to get out of the case. The cost of replacing the SD cards far outweighs the cost of the case. Will be looking for a better solution.

Comments about Vidpro SD-1 Secure Data Case:
Sturdy aluminum casing has a solid feel to it. I expected the interior to be cheap plastic, but it is a rubberized type of plastic that sd cards fit in snugly. Cards are easy to put in and take out. My only initial challenge was getting the case open, it takes a few tries to know exactly where to push to open, but after you find the sweet spot, your good to go.

Love this case. I wanted something to keep my cards organized yet I needed it to be big enough to find in my camera bag. I wasn't concerned with waterproofing, so this case fit the bill. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it can be a little difficult to get the cards into/out of the case. I have a tiny fear that this difficulty will someday damage the cards by pulling the two halves of the cards apart.
