    Never Had Troubles With Mine

    By KMcGovern

Comments about Beseler 11x14" Universal 4-Bladed Enlarging Easel:

Maybe a few years back the QC lipped on these, but the one I own is just fine. First used one in the '70s in an Air Force photo hobby lab and it was fine, except keeping the blades orthogonal was a challenge. One I bought in 1984 has been a dream.

Comments about Beseler 11x14" Universal 4-Bladed Enlarging Easel:

I just used it a few times, but product itself is fairly easy to modify, and once I set it, it stays there stablely. A little bit expensive compare to other 4 blade easels, but it works fine. It is heavy which could be good thing that it would not move that much when I accidently hit it after I set the position. One thing I did not like it when I got it is that the back rubber was little bit torn out. Except that I am pretty happy about this easel.

Comments about Beseler 11x14" Universal 4-Bladed Enlarging Easel:

I use one of these under my favorite enlarger: a beseler 45mxt with an aristo cold light head. I prefer it to my saunders, it is a better, easier to use product in my opinion. The only thing thats bad about it is that it has little slots on the base of it (not the ones that the paper go into) which can make focusing a bit of a pain, but it is a great easel otherwise!

Comments about Beseler 11x14" Universal 4-Bladed Enlarging Easel:

What a shame it is for a storied American company to put out something like this and thinks they can get away with it! We ordered five of these for our photo lab and everyone of them arrived with some form of defect, some very serious. In addition to the other reviewer's problem of blades not being square we found blades with nicks and scratches, baseboard with raised burrs, blades that were loose out of the box, etc. The product must have left the factory with no quality control whatsoever. If I could have given this product a zero star rating I would. Shame, shame, shame for the American manufacturing industry.

      Disappointed

      By Anonymous

Comments about Beseler 11x14" Universal 4-Bladed Enlarging Easel:

This is an inferior produce, in my opinion. The blades are difficult to keep square, and they are hard to make small adjustments without moving the easel. It isn't engineered very well. Some small changes in the construction would have improved this product. I have an old Saunders Master, and it's a better product, although I think I'm going to get a Saunders Slim Track.

Expertise: 30 years in B&W 4X5 work. (Highly experienced)

Problems Encountered: I just said all of that above.
