The Large size of the Photovision 34" One Shot Digital Target allows you to fill the frame even at a distance, ensuring accurate white balance and exposure. White reflective fabric is perfect for opening up the shadows without casting unwanted specular highlights. The 34" Target is on a collapsible reflector style frame, and folds to one third of its open size. The 34" One Shot Target is used by many of the industry's leading studio and commercial photographers.

The Neutral 3-Tone Panels of the One Shot Digital Target allows for custom white balancing, accurate metering and exposure monitoring through the camera's histogram function - all with a single shot. Thereby, vastly improving setup time, and minimizing the need for post correction to your image files. You'll drastically reduce your workflow on the back-end by getting it right on the front-end.

Comments about Photovision 34" One Shot Digital Target:

We use this target to set exposure and white balance on our cameras for our school photography business. It's a little big for our needs, but better too big than too small. The next size down is perfect for studio/outdoor work. This size works for studio and outdoor too, but allows you to use your monster 2.8 zoom and get perfect exposure and white balance at a distance. If you're not using a target to set WB and exposure, you're not being a photographer. Rather a computer person. Why do all the work on the backend, when you can nail it on the front? Get one of these, or its smaller cousin. Great training video included too.

Use for all types of lighting and WB. I think it's a little overpriced though.

Comments about Photovision 34" One Shot Digital Target:

This is an excellent solution for getting a quick, accurate exposure and custom white balance all in one tool that doubles as a non-specular reflector on the other side. It comes with an instructional DVD that is comprehensive and thorough.I have used other custom white balance products listed in this review and they are all very good in their own right, but this one goes the extra step in dialing in the exposure as well. It saves a lot of time in post-production, especially for RAW shooters. The key to the success of using the Calibration Target is two fold; a)following the DVD instructions and b)calibrating the camera to your RAW converter, which is covered in the instructions. [...]Again, this is a great, dual purpose tool that is quick and easy to use in any photographic situation I can think of. I look forward to investigating some of the DVD offerings as well.

Comments about Photovision 34" One Shot Digital Target:

The target allows you to to be dead on with white balance. You take the target, put it in front of your subject or scene that you are shooting so that the lighting is the same as what you are going to take a picture, and when you do your white balance editing you can make all your picture perfect. Great purchase and a must have.

Comments about Photovision 34" One Shot Digital Target:

Great all-in-one product for exposure and getting an accurate custom white balance. Also doubles as a reflector or gobo. The instructional DVD is easy to understand.

The other white balance tools I have listed below are great tools as well, but the Calibration Target offers the luxury of taking the work out of setting a great exposure in the camera and helps reduce post-production processing time.

Especially important to the overall success of the PhotoVision Calibration Target is calibrating the camera histogram to the photo editing software histogram such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and the like. This is found in the instructional DVD.

Bought it and used it on a couple of portraits the next week- great results
Better than pure white or pure 18% grey.
                      no complaints.
