The Comprehensive/Kramer TP-120 Receiver is a receiver designed for the long range extension of a computer video signal. This device, in conjunction with a compatible transmitter, will re-convert a video signal produced by a computer video card after it has been sent over common and inexpensive twisted pair computer network cabling. This allows a user to cleanly extend their studio, video, or security applications beyond the short cabling that restricts the spacing of devices. To convert from a standard computer video signal at the other end of your wiring configuration, use the Comprehensive/Kramer PT-110 or any other compatible Comprehensive/Kramer transmitter.
Power Connect System - Only one unit in a signal path, either the transmitter or receiver, needs to be connected to a power source. All the system units must have Power Connect circuitry to make use of this feature.
With Power Connect System and heavy gauge CAT5 cable, it can receive a video signal up to 320' (98 m.) Distances vary depending on signal resolution, device power, cable quality and type. Standard CAT5 cable can transmit up to 160' (50 m.)
Twisted pair input can utilize common and inexpensive unshielded RJ-45 network cabling such as CAT5e.
