The ART PS 4x4 Pro Rackmount 8-Outlet Power Conditioner is a complete AC power solution for rackmount systems. The PS 4x4 Pro can be installed into the top slot of a rack. Its eight switched AC outlets in the rear panel will power up and protect all your equipment, up to a 15A load. The LED meter displays incoming voltage and current metering, and the two slide-out, swiveling light fixtures provide illumination for all your gear. They are adjustable via the front-panel dimmer control.
The PS 4x4 Pro conditions your delicate electronic equipment with a high-voltage surge and transient suppressor and an RFI/EMI interference filter. Pro Series models have an additional internal discrete module called APF (Advanced Power Filtering) which filters out digital and dimmer hash as well as any high frequency noise that is above the audio range. By using this high power discrete design, the filter stays effective over the full operating range.
The SP 4x4 Pro also features ART's "4x4" distribution on the back of the unit - four of the eight rear outputs are 1.25" apart. This allows the user to plug in wide power cables and multiple wall wart devices, and still have eight total power outlets to choose from.

This unit has every thing you need for a surge protector/ power conditioner. The only thing is it would be nice to have independent dimmer knobs for the front and back lights. Other than that i really like it and would recommend for the price.

Comments about ART PS 4x4 Rackmount 8-Outlet Power Conditioner w/Volt & Ammeter & Lights:
This unit has removed all the noise from our sound system. It also allows me to determine how much current is being used by all the units hooked into it so I don't overload the system. BNC Lamp on the rear is a real help, and I saw they can cost $ by themselves if you buy separately.

Comments about ART PS 4x4 Rackmount 8-Outlet Power Conditioner w/Volt & Ammeter & Lights:
Very useful power supply. Lights on the front and back are great for seeing all of your rack gear in a dimly lit bar/basement studio. It powers a 2400 watt QSC power amp, yamaha mg mixer, a full PA rack, my pedal board and guitar amp, and a set of roland v-drums. No problems whatsoever and everything runs very quietly with no AC noise.

Comments about ART PS 4x4 Rackmount 8-Outlet Power Conditioner w/Volt & Ammeter & Lights:
I mounted this unit in the top of my rack and I feel safe knowing my equipment is protected from harsh electrical surges. I love the fact that the 4x4 pro has easy to read LED's to tell me how much input and how much load the unit has. I had read a review where someone stated the lights get hot. I have had my 4x4 pro on for hours at a time and I haven't noticed the lights getting hot. I have however noticed the gooseneck lamp in the rear gets warm. The only thing I feel this unit lacks is an on off swith for that lamp in the rear. I personally don't have that much use for a lamp in the rear, so when I get my new Mackie mixer that will accept a gooseneck lamp that is where it will be. In my opinion the Art 4x4 Pro is a well built, nice looking piece of equipment. If it came up missing, I would buy another one.

good design for real world application. Considerate design down to spacing of the power socket, light, switchs, etc.

Comments about ART PS 4x4 Rackmount 8-Outlet Power Conditioner w/Volt & Ammeter & Lights:
I had this power conditioner only a few days when it failed, reading sporadic voltages or none at all. Also, the lights are conventional incandescent, not LED, which generates a lot of heat. I have a Furman® conditioner in another rack and it has been on for a couple of years now, 24/7, with no failure at all.
Because of the other report of this same problem in these reviews, I would pass on buying this product again.
Comments about ART PS 4x4 Rackmount 8-Outlet Power Conditioner w/Volt & Ammeter & Lights:
I have owned this exact model for two years now. It is mymain power conditioner on my power amp rack. It powers my EQ, Crossover, four sometimes five 1900 watt Yamaha power amps, as well as my DJ mixer, CD player, wireless mic and effects unit. The two main things I like are...1> Dual LED Meters - Easy to read and necessary when you are using your gear in different locations all the time. It's great to be able to look over and see how many amps you're using and to see how many volts are coming in.2> Rear Light - no flashlight necessary to see the back of your rack.
Expertise: 15 years of professional DJ experience
Problems Encountered: None - I have not yet even had to replace a bulb.
Previous Equivalent Item Owned: Furman
Items I Recommend: ART tube preamp for acoustic guitar or microphone
