The Yamaha RK512 is a 12-space rack mount kit for the EMX212S, 312SC and 512SC powered mixers. The hardware enables the mixers to mount into any 12-space (or more), 19-inch rack.

I really wish Yamaha had designed the EMX series powered mixers to fit more neatly in a rack. Not many people probably rack mount this unit, but it takes up 7 units, and of those nearly half a unit both above and below the EMX is wasted. It could be used for cable access above and below for other components (albeit difficult cable access), but is basically wasted. I have designed my setup to be all front access for inputs/firewire-recording interface/DI rack unit, so I have no need for back access other than power and speaker outputs. Was tempted to modify this bracket to fit flush either top or bottom, but it was moot as I would not gain a full rack unit of space due to the EMX size itself, so i just have extra ventilation and one less rack unit to play with.[...]
