This tripod is light enough I can carry it in my pants pocket but sturdy enough I can use it outside for macro photography of small plants etc. The legs extend and unextend easily but firmly.

This tripod is sturdy and has locking legs. The knob on the screw tightening the ball head is too small to tighten as much as I would like. I sometimes use it folded with the legs partly extended as a shoulder stabilizer.
